I was visiting Johnstown from out of state and had the pleasure of sitting in a lodge meeting with the Brothers of #538. They rolled out the red carpet for a fellow traveling man. After a nice, hot dinner of chili I was given a tour of this beautiful temple. They've got an Egyptian-themed room for Blue Lodge meetings, a Gothic-themed room resembling a cathedral for York Rite degrees, an Eastern Star room, and numerous displays of historical Masonic artifacts. What's more is they have a cigar lounge with a kitchenette for after meetings. I've been to quite a few Masons' lodges and this one is up there as far as comfort and hospitality. They had ample storage space, uplighting services and bartenders to service all of my guests. They had at least a thousand snakes as well as some other really cool reptiles from chameleons, bearded dragons, alligators, and more. The venue was really clean and well maintained.
