Gordon Food Service Store — Attraction in Joliet

It was my first time here in years we picked a bad time to go staff was not in the mood. There were a few good finds. Some chips rang up wrong and now I have to return them another day. I only came for the catfish my aunt loves and grabbed some flax seed. This is a good spot for food businesses and caterers grabbing odds and ends but don't expect to get much. The tags say points can be earned but when I asked about this it wasn't explained well so no need for anymore loyalty programs. They offer order online and pickup in store as well. Good store with reasonable prices. The only issue I have is that many times I go there and they will be out of what I need. I don't get how a store like this can run out of their fresh ground beef , corned beef , hot wings , jumbo shrimp and this is just a few of the things that I've gone there for and they don't have it. A lot of people (including myself until recently) do not know that GFS is open to the public. They have a lot of bulk items, but they also carry a lot of different premade and ready to serve options for parties.
