Joliet Gateway Center — Attraction in Joliet

❣️ Excellent location that is near downtown Joliet and stadium. Easy peasy directions for Platform 1 and 2 Metra Lines, Amtrak and several bus lines. Comfortable station temperature, lots of seating, elevators, free WiFi and Restroom access 🥰. Waiting for an hour for the next train goes by fast here...

Attendants are only here at certain hours but, you have the luxury comfort of hanging out until your next train, or...

I'm from Joliet.

This train station has been completely renovated, and it's really nice.

The station now has an Amtrak depot, food vendors, brewery, and a donut/coffee shop. You can even rent a party room on the top floor.

It's clean and warm.

And.... it's right across the street from the Joliet minor league baseball stadium.

I'm glad to see the hard earned taxpayers' dollars put to good use.

The gateway center is great, no complaints. Wish it was open until the last train in for the night for people to use the restroom, but I get it.

The Rock Island? Lawless land. On my recent voyage, another passenger was listening to music on a Bluetooth speaker, and another passenger was smoking on the train. Conductors walked past all of this and didn't resolve...
