This place is very cool! Almost didn't get to go though, because I didn't see the doorbell to ring right at first. And there was a sign on the door that said they had closed at 2, because of the heat. And it was almost 5. The lady was very nice, when she did come out. There was no charge! This is a work in progress: Only one floor of the intended three is open. Last year a tornado dealt a serious setback to this joint's plans.
Despite the current lack of A/C (ugh!), we enjoyed their limited exhibits today. There were only a handful of others inside when we visited in the late morning.
This is gonna be a sweet Rt. 66 stop in the near future--with luck it'll be well along come next year's Rt. 66 commissioning Centennial.
I'm pretty sure they don't charge anything to look at the first floor. Street parking is free after noon Saturday and on Sundays.
