Papitos — Attraction in Jonesboro

WARNING: WORST FOOD AND SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED!!! My wife and I decided to try this restaurant because of the good reviews online. This was a HUGE mistake. We received our food about 5 minutes after ordering, the waiter said even "hot plate" when putting the plate down. The plate was very hot, but the food on the plate was fairly cold. We were disappointed but didn't think much more about it. After finishing we received our check, the waiter had forgotten to put the guacamole we ordered on the receipt so he decided to write it in at the bottom in pen along with a new total. This usually wouldn't be a problem, but we needed an itemized receipt for business meal reimbursement. I explained to the cashier what we needed and he gave a new receipt without the writing on it, thinking that I wouldn't notice it was exactly the same as before. He then punched in some numbers into the credit card machine and ran our card for a higher total than what was on the reprinted itemized receipt. I once again asked for an itemized receipt reflecting what he charged on our card; the cashier seemed not to understand and went to get his manager. His manager came out and raised his voice telling me they are not able to do that. All I was asking for was a receipt reflecting what they ran my credit card for.I have never received such terrible customer service over a simple receipt. Let me start off by saying that this used to one of our favorite places to eat but we will not be returning after our last experience. We had family visiting from out of town and we decided to bring them to our "favorite restaurant." The hostess was extremely rude when we asked to sit at a larger table because there were 6 adults and a child and they were trying to sit us at a six top (three of us were 6ft men). The hostess was arguing with us that we would all fit fine.. Then we ordered a burrito with beef and chicken and it only came with chicken. It didn't seem like the waitress wanted to fix the order so we didn't want to cause a big fuss and just kept the meal. Then we ordered a meal with steak cooked medium well and the steak came out RARE with blood everywhere. The restaurant offered to fix it but we just declined because the entire family was finished with their meals by this point. The thing that really ticked me off was that after all of the unprofessionalism and the 2 messed up orders they gave us $5 off for the steak being under-cooked (mind you that wasn't even half the price of the meal). I was extremely embarrassed after raving about this place to my family and also disappointed We will take our business elsewhere...

If I could leave them zero stars, I would.

My family and I planned to eat at Papitos following my little brother’s college graduation. We arrived to an all but empty restaurant -there was one family of 8 already dining. My mother informed the host we had a party of 13, and he told her they would prepare a table. 15 mins afterward, we were STILL waiting. I reminded the host we were still waiting and was met with him laughing, pointing, and speaking Spanish before walking back into the kitchen. It was another 10 mins before we made the decision to walk in and seat ourselves in this empty restaurant. We remained at the table for another 15 mins while watching a myriad of servers walking by and serving the only other guests in the entire restaurant, despite multiple requests for drinks. We finally decided as a family to leave and dine elsewhere. I would STRONGLY recommend avoiding this place.
