Escape Joplin — Attraction in Joplin

Very clean and super nice staff. Actually attentive game master, watching you do the room and giving nudges instead of just letting you drown. All the clues were direct and required solving, some more complex than others, which was exactly what our group looks for in an escape room.

The one we did was a single room with no misleading nonsense or anything thrown in just to throw you off. My only complaint was the fact that there's a particular clue to keep the room going and there's nothing indicating what to do, when I asked the game master after we succeeded, she said "you're just supposed to know". Our group found it kinda odd that there isn't something to help figure out a code. Maybe adding a single piece of cloth with a picture or series of pics into a chest with a small hint, or even words/picture in a particular book could help people with that clue.

Other than that, we enjoyed it very much and if we have other family come visit, we'll be back. Worth the hour drive from AR to get an escape room with people who actually know what they're doing, because there's not...

We did “Saving Christmas” and it was so fun and colorful. Our game host, Allysia, was so cheerful and happy to help us if we needed. She also was stoked for us when we got out. We felt like kindergartens when they recite the alphabet for the first time. The clues were a good mix of simple to figure out and more difficult and they had a wide variety of hints and puzzles to solve. It was the most unique and diverse set of puzzles and hints and was all around super fun. There were loud sounds that were unexpected (like a box popping open) that startled me, which wasn’t a problem I just state is as a caution for others. I also think some of the clues we were close to solving but got a hint from the game host after only a couple minutes not getting it right. I wish we had a little more time to try before getting the answer, but then again we only got out with like 4 minutes to spare so it was needed and...

I tried an experiment this year and chose to replace a couple of the Christmas gifts, with an experience instead. I am so glad that I did! We had so much fun as a family trying to solve all the puzzles and the escape room. We were on the last puzzle in time ran out! It was so close! But this place is awesome! Staff is courteous, friendly and willing to answer any questions that we had. I am definitely going to do something like this again in the future! If not here then someplace else. But I can absolutely suggest this place is an experience for your family! Very well done indeed!...
