I shop here pretty much daily. That stops today. I took my son with me to pick up some things for dinner, he grabbed an apple and was eating it through the store. My mistake was not taking the sticker off of the apple before he started eating it. Now I have never NEVER never had a problem with Walmart making me nor my autistic 6 year old feel bad for him eating an apple going through the store. We get to the register and at the end of checking out Nancy got real snotty and said "what are we going to do about the apple?" I offered to go back around and grab another and pay for both. She said "I'll let it go this time but next time just don't let him eat it until you leave" I apologized and said I had never had a problem with Walmart and that's why he's used to eating something through the store. She got real hateful and said "well I worked at Walmart and the policy is the same." The people behind me in line confirmed that they have never seen an issue at Walmart either and told me they hope I have a good day. I won't be back. I don't like big box stores but I'll pay extra for a little more kindness to the customers and the children. I paid for the apple nonetheless, I don't care how bad of a day you're having, picking a fight with an autistic child over an apple that was less than a dollar...
Read moreI love Food4Less! They have specials that canât be beat, every day! Things I look for: they always have medium thickness REAL sliced ham vacuum sealed in handy bags for 1.99 a pound. Not the fake pressed gross sandwich meat stuff that runs much much higher. Yes this is more than youâd pay for a whole sliced ham on the bone. But who has time for that?!?! Itâs thin enough for delicious sandwiches yet thick enough for a pot of ham and beans. They generally always have some sort of special buyout product. It could be bacon at 1.99 a pound or beef hotdogs at .99 a pack or lunchables .99 ea. They always have several advertised weeklong specials too. I always use this opportunity to stock my freezer. Occasionally they will even have sirloin steak for 3.69 a pound!!! I buy 30 pounds and more at a time and have the butcher grind it into burger! Often they are the only store in Joplin that have good looking good priced bundles of Kale.
Overall, you might not find everything you were looking for at a Food4Less, but itâs a canât miss in your grocery shopping. If alcohol selection is your thing,. They certainly have a good priced...
Read moreAll in all it wasn't bad but when ur from another state & spend over $200.00 & nobody knows where something ur wanting is but u have it on the shelf then I think the employees need to familiarize themselves with the store a little more & more walk thru training for them so they have the knowledge to know where stuff is & also in the meat department, I seen some meat that had been marked down by a black marker on the wrapping but the meat was a brown spoiled color instead of a fresh red color!! Me myself would never put anything like that out to be sold, that's just asking for food poisoning to the extremes!!! I'm sure it wasn't the employees fault that was working in the meat department either, I would say that it was higher up that told them to do it but then their the ones that get jumped by the shoppers for trying to sell something like that so I would say there needs to be some improvement in that prospective but overall there were alot of good prices on different things so I'd say that I would shop there again just not for any...
