The food was amazing, we had a party of 6 and were seated right away on a Saturday night, and the atmosphere was so fun! I would love to give this location 5 stars, but I have to stop at 3 for the seating arrangements and service. Our party of 6 was seated at a long table fit for around 12, and the other half of the table was filled with a different party toward the end of our meal. This would not have been a bother at all except that it got pretty crowded with our dinner plates and to-go boxes and their large menus with intrusive menu inserts AND table displays. This problem could be easily fixed if there were more space between seats, a quieter atmosphere (this table was located right next to the bar) or even a smaller amount of serving plates or menu inserts. The plates could have been taken care of by the waitress, but she was rather absent throughout the entirety of our dinner. After taking our drink orders, she disappeared for awhile and a manager eventually had to come take our food order. It became increasingly difficult to get refills from her, and when removing our menus and then plates, she was very discourteous, taking them from our hands without asking for them or politely waiting. She also began to clear the table before we were ready to leave, and took a platter that a to go box was partially sitting on, knocking it sideways. She never apologized or said excuse me for any of these acts. To further unimpress us as to the service, the two hostesses had their eyes glued to their cell phones as each of the six of us walked out of the restaurant! Neither of them looked up a single time to thank us for coming in our wishing us a good night. As I said, the food, environment and wait time were great, but the seating, and especially the service, were...
Read moreI rarely write reviews. However, I have had 2 frustrating situations arise with booking a banquet with for athletic team.
The first year, after booking the banquet 2 months in advance, I was called 2 days before the date notified of it being double booked. They said that we could have the patio to ourselves, which I agreed to. I understood, and it really wasn’t a big deal. They then sat people on the patio with us, so we had our banquet in the hotel lobby. Not what I envisioned when I called two months prior.
Fast-forward a year, I booked two months before again (this time I take some responsibility for booking here again). This time on the phone, I asked if there were any bookings for Oct 21st evening and was told no. Perfect! We booked the banquet room. Then the afternoon of the evening, I called to ensure the banquet room was going to be prepared. They said they moved us to the patio due to another booking. No one notified me this time, and I now know it was because it was a larger party, more money, so we were booted out. They said the patio would be ready for us.
My team, parents/family, and I show up to a full patio and a long table booked in the center of the restaurant near the bar. This was my banquet booking. I wasn’t told an apology or any excuse. The manager just blamed another manager that wasn’t there.
It was unprofessional, and I’d suggest not dealing with the place for a banquet. Going for a drink or pizza with a small party is probably no problem, but when the communication and business is ran like that, I now have no...
Read moreThe entrees are blah. The best thing on the menu is their appetizers and pizza. And be advised that they count your drinks and will cut you off. My husband and I used to get a room at the hotel that this place is located in just so we could over indulge with out worry. A short walk to our room and we were good for the evening. But one evening we were cut off and we didn't really understand why as we weren't being unruly in any way. We obviously stopped spending our time and money here and then friends wanted to meet us there one evening so we accepted. I told our server what had happened previously and as the evening progressed I was joking with her about it and she eventually came over and said she should no longer serve us. So I asked her what is up with you guys cutting people off because we haven't done anything offensive or unruly and I'm just curious what is prompting this as I have been frequenting bars for 20 years and have never been cut off anywhere ever. She informed us that a patron had been rushed to the hospital at some point due to over indulgence so now they cut you off after so many drinks. Okay. She was a good waitress and we tipped her well before we left but rest assured that she will be the last person in that establishment to get a...
