Joplin is a city of parks and this one is the former location of Mercy Hospital that was rebuilt along I-44. The park was donated to the city in 2015.
The park is the home of the Rotary Clubs of Joplin Sculpture Garden and we spent a bit of time walking through the park to see some of the sculptures. It was a bit too cold this afternoon to do the full tour but we saw several including Rabbit Reach, Joyful Empowerment and House Sitter.

The sculptures, plants, and scenery make for a quiet and refreshing experience whether you are taking a family walk, exercising, walking your dog, etc. There isn't much foot traffic here for how central of a location it is, so I like to think of it as a bit of a hidden gem for the locals.
