Furry Friends Thrift Boutique funds a non profit that for the past thirty years has been rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding homes for animals in need. They have a full service veterinary clinic in Jupiter and their main adoption clinic. They also own a 27 acre ranch in Palm City. This non profit is operated by the Humane Society of Greater Jupiter Tequesta.
At Furry Friends you will find clothing, linens, shoes, purses, jewelry, toys, household items, small appliances, furniture, books, CD's, and DVD's. They have two rooms to shop. The one you enter has the clothing and house hold goods and the second room is furniture. My favorite find was the Fitz and Floyd retro 70's cups that said thin is in while others in the set said fat is beautiful.
Don't just shop here. You can rest assured about donating to them your unwanted items because 100 percent of the money raised goes to helping animals. I loved that their store security guard is a cat. Come by and find a treasure and feel good knowing you are supporting this wonderful organization that is doing so much to help the animals and people in...
Read moreThis place is like a museum with monuments and exhibits of out of date fashion. You can visit the same pair of shoes from Kohl's priced at a hefty $40 over and over because things don't sell. Totally unrealistic pricing and it's just gotten worse over the past year and a half. Even when they have 50% off clothing it excludes the boutique area. And the boutique area starts with things from Chico's and JCPenney and Marshalls. It is a definite skip if you are interested in good thrifting. Donate $5 to this place but don't look for bargains there. Now there is a grumpy lady with a bun at the checkout just adding another reason not to go to this store. Hard pass. Sad because it's a good cause. Pricers are killing this store. Literally same stuff there for over a year! Chico's is not worth $15! Old, tired, and overpriced for...
Read moreThe animals for adoption are nicer than the humans. Thought we were doing a good thing by donating some very well cared for, brand name furnishings. The old boomer lady in there gave us a bunch of attitude about what they would and wouldn’t take and how we were supposed to “RING THE BELL” instead of coming around front… what the hell has happened to people - especially in bougie Jupiter. You are making money off free stuff that I don’t want to throw in a landfill and you act like I am trying to drop off a dead body. We have reached a point in local Jupiter society where even acts of kindness are not possible without hassle. All I can say is what the hell is wrong...
