I simply don't understand why a restaurant wants to lose a neighbor. when I first moved to Jupiter, I went into this shop twice a week, sometimes only buying their coffee and sometimes buying food. However, their coffee was a cup full of ice then pouring the coffee. Because I have a choking issue, I can't have drinks that are that cold (plus, I really don't like watery coffee anyway), so I ask for only a small amount of ice. I was initially in 4 times and posted a review praising their food but complaining that because they first did not heed my request, then, on my last visit, charged me $1 extra for the request (without telling me they would be doing so). Meanwhile, the cup was still 1/2 full of ice.
I posted about my experience and vowed not to return. The owner sent the following response:
"Sorry about what happened. Please give us 1 more chance to make it right for you !!!"
So, I returned, posted a 5 star update stating that mistakes happen and that mistakes happen, but so much for that. I have been going back, although not nearly with the same regularity and the cup is still 1/2 full of ice. I have not felt the same comfort level at the restaurant as I did before. Meanwhile, when the owner was pleasant, I was tipping that same $1 (when only coffee...more when food). I have sent numerous friends and business associates to the shop, because I like to support small businesses. I don't know why they want to lose that business, being very pennywise and pound foolish...they KNOW I've brought new customers to me. Anyway...
Normally, the food is exceptional and very authentic (I've spent some time in Vietnam) and I really enjoyed it. One night, I don't know what happened, but the pho tasted like I was eating a bowl full of salt, but otherwise, the food has been good.
Anyway, today I went in and noticed I was charged $1 for less ice. I don't know how long he's been doing that and I didn't notice, because I was busy talking with my friends. He started arguing about increased costs, etc. etc....it's coffee and milk and a bit less ice!!! Anyway, I've saved him a great deal of money, apparently by not returning.
I'm very sad about this.to lose this restaurant from my goto list, but that "one more...
Read moreI am so happy I got to finally try pho and overall, Vietnamese cuisine. It always brings me great joy when I get to try foods from across the world. My experience at Pho and Rolls was very well. Their service is great and the people there are kind. The restaurant itself has a very welcoming atmosphere and has a fun vibe to it, if that makes sense. I tried their pho, with my choice of protein being beef with an addition of their taro boba. I’ve never had anything like pho before and I believe the particular taste takes some getting used to haha, so I may have to come back for more lol. Didn’t hate it, but also didn’t love it. However, I absolutely loveeeeed their taro boba. Sooo delicious, best boba I’ve ever had!!! It wasn’t too sweet, which is an issue I’ve noticed with my last experiences with boba. But, at “pho and rolls”, that was no issue. It was simply perfect! Happy to have found some boba in Jupiter! They also have free water available and add ons for your pho on the table. The service there was...
Read moreFood and Thai iced tea drink were great. The lemongrass chicken baguette was very tasty. The shrimp pho was great too. Just need to add the sciracha or hoisoin sauce for added flavor. The peanut sauce and rolls were good too. Please take note that when adding boba to the Thai iced tea, it is not just $3.50 plus 50 cents more for the boba as written on the menu but $2.25 more. It does not say that on the menu in the restaurant nor on the hand out menu. Nor was i informed when I placed the order. When I inquired I was told the additional charge was due to when the boba is added, the drink size is larger, hence the $6.25 charge for the drink. The menus are misleading. I think it would have been better if I was told of the extra cost $2.25 when placing the order. The worker told me they are aware of the issue and are going to have the menu changed. Overall, I really liked the quality and flavor and options of savory or sweet sauces. This is southern Vietnamese food. Definitely, worth trying. I will...
