Pinot's Palette — Attraction in Kansas City

My first experience at this location was superb. My husband and I did the couples Valentine's painting where our pictures of our trees put together create a heart. We went last night to paint spring sunset picture and the instructor was AWFUL. She didn't seem to know what she was doing as a painter and an instructor. She kept trying to hide her inadequacy behind her ever constant phrase, "This is for fun guys.". She rushed everything, skipped several steps, and the end result was so disappointing. 1) I really would like my moner back but know that will not be likely. 2) would like to know who the instructors are from now on. If I had known how bad this instructor was I would have picked the other class that painted whales. Which I saw those people leave with really accurate nice pieces.

I have been to 2 locations of Pinot's Palette and have had fun each time. This location is my favorite so far. Our instructor was super helpful and demonstrated the painting step by step (same as the previous location), but also kept an eye on all of the painters and made sure she checked in with anyone who looked especially nervous. She also walked around and gave us tips and advice to improve our work and technique. This particular painting was a watercolor that I was really looking forward to and I was very nervous when I realized there was no template for the hummingbird, but the way she explained and demonstrated it made it super easy, even for beginners. Checking on booking and no one answered phone. Left messages and finally went to studio when it was open and was told I would need to call the Blue springs location as that is where the owners normally are. Finally received message back. During the class my sister and I could not see the techniques used as my back was to the instructor and hers to mine. Finally I took a picture on my phone and just winged it on my own.
