I took one on one drawing lessons with Michael for about 2 months. I am 26 and I have to say that it was amazing. Not once did I feel self conscious about being a novice artist. He provided valuable insight into areas I could improve upon while simulataniously giving me the perfect amount encouragement about the things I was doing well. The first couple weeks he had drawings planned to teach fundamentals and evaluating skill level but we quickly moved on to whatever it was that I wanted to accomplish. Overall the lessons were extremely helpful, structured yet flexible, and Michael encourages an open dialog about what is working and what isn't. Overall he is an absolutely incredible teacher and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to...
Read moreMy daughter wanted to learn to paint and public school art education is deficient at best we went on a search for painting lessons. Michael is very encouraging and great at helping you work through problems.
We began working in his studio shortly before the pandemic began and off and on briefly after. The remote classes were similar. I drew an image provided by Michael and he provided feedback. The only difference with remote sessions is that he isn’t able to help you correct your drawing directly. Instead, he drew examples of and provided suggestions on how you...
