I’m not trying to be mean when I say this because I’m a nice person. I went to this salon on Sunday (8/3/25). I was not welcomed in, but I will give credit to the lady that told me just to sign in. I got there at 12:18. One lady was braiding hair, and she was taking a long time to do it when she only had 4 braids to do. The other one was doing a silk press, and when she got done, she started doing the lady before me's hair. So I’m waiting, and I’m excited because I’ve been waiting to get my hair done for school. This is my first time ever getting a sew-in. So it’s already 2:48, and the lady is still doing the braids, and the other lady's hair is almost done (she also got a sew-in but curly). So both of them got done with their hair, so now it’s my turn. Mind you, no one else is in the salon after me but the people that work there. So she’s doing my hair, and tell me why she is using the blow dryer with a comb and pulling my hair. I barely have any hair left! She didn’t even start at the ends; she started in the middle to the top, then she did the bottom. I’m like, ok, it’s ok because people might brush their hair differently. It’s 4 already; she starts braiding my hair, and she’s sewing my hair in. When I tell you she kept having the needle touch my face, like throwing it, I’m saying ā€œyou’re goodā€ each time she does this, but after the 3rd time, it got annoying. But I’m not saying it’s her fault. So she told me that it’s gonna be $75 if she uses all three bundles. I was like, ok, but just use them if needed. Then she does an edge, that’s one dollar plus. Even so, all in total it came out to be $76.95. I was like, no biggie, but when I got home, I can see my tracks, and my hair was soooo thin; you can see through it. I was thinking, let me just let it marinate, but then the next day comes, and I start getting these two big bumps on my forehead, and they're like knots that you get when you fight. And it hurts so bad. It’s not the oil she used because I’m not allergic to anything. But if I’m being honest, I would like my $50 back because this is embarrassing walking around like this. I have school in a week, and this is my first time going in person. I wanted it to be special, but I look so bad because of my hair. I had a budget to spend, and I feel like it got wasted. I’ve been crying because of my hair, and I’m not trying to ruin a salon, but I’m so insecure, and this made it worse. So it would be nice to get my $50 back, and then they keep $26 because I don’t want to waste anyone's time. Also, my apologies for saying "like" so much. I’m typing this how I explained it in person, but have a nice day, everyone! (Also there was beer in there.)

Came in for a traditional sew in and they took care of me. Ladies did an excellent job! Love my hair! I will say the $50 traditional sew in is only $50 if you have a small head and they only use 2 bundles. Also, you need brand new hair that's not cut or else you will be upcharged for that as well. I ended up spending $90 for everything. Update: Came back to try a frontal sew in for the first time. I called ahead for the price of the service + the hair and was quoted a certain price. The people seem very nice but they aren't on the same page. I was to get a frontal with 2 bundles and the ended up getting a third bundle added in before consulting me. So I was charged more than I expected to pay. This is the second time I've come here and have been upcharged for services. I understand paying for what is done, but if I was quoted a certain price, it should be honored. It's not my fault I was rung up incorrectly on the phone or wasn't informed about needing another bundle. It's been exactly two weeks today and the hair was not worth the amount I paid for it. It tangles easily and sheds quite a bit. Definitely would have brought my own hair if I knew how expensive this hair was going to be. Initially, I really liked the frontal, but when I got home I noticed a lot of excess glue along my forehead and the lace wasn't covered very well. The baby hair was cut too short in my opinion. I ended up bringing some more baby hair down to help cover the lace. Some pictures don't really show the lace too much, but looking the mirror and in person, you can see the lace. Overall, the experience was ok. There was a pause once for a bite to eat and the rating would have been higher if I wasn't charged $140 more than what I was quoted.

This is the worst sew in i ever received in my 26 years of living. It’s not even a month yet and i have tracks coming a loose. The hair they provide and sell in the store is complete trash you brush it out its back nappy within seconds, and the hair sheds worser than a long haired dog. They left little to no hair out so u can still see tracks through the leave out, and the braiding foundation is absolutely horrendous I was expecting the beehive method and got straight backs instead.

I went to the salon in Lenexa to find out it was shut down and I made the trip to the other location and when I called I was told I would be able to get in right away and was quoted 1 &1/2 hours at the most for a leave out. I've went to sew me several times and I buy the same hair Everytime because I like the same style! This time I had someone in training .. there is nothing wrong with having someone in training do hair but a warning of time or experience would have been great. I usually get in and out in an hour - hour and a half. The stylist had to stop several times to ask for help and the sew in took 3 hours and 41 minutes . The salon was hot they had no water to offer and did not have a vending machine. When talking to the stylist she did not respond and the stylist next to her answered all my questions and asked questions on the stylist behalf such as "did you want your hair curled"?..ec more hair was used this time which made me pay more than I usually do because apparently an extra bundle was used... The owner stopped by and another person training my stylist asked if I wanted the hair I bought styled and I responded " honestly I'm just ready to go home so I will pass on the styling" the owner chimed in and told me that sometimes it may take longer and I can book faster people and next time I should do so. I honestly assumed all the stylist we're trained and experienced and was unaware that one may not be. I wish it were advertised so that I knew what I was walking into. If I'm not mistaken this particular salon took pride in having the stylist do the exact same braiding pattern and used to time the stylist to make sure it was done in timely manner and quality was still great. This experience felt like going to the college to get hair done Thankfully though my hair looks great minus some braids showing preventing me to put in ponytail.

I had to come back and update my review. Unfortunately my hair is lifting(3rd day) šŸ˜” my schedule does not allow me to go back until next week to even have someone fix it. I am just calling it a loss...
