the bubblegum shake was different.. not bad just different.. sweet and thick.. 😋. this was our first time there. the menu was limited due to thier supply truck hadn't been there yet. dining room still closed, you can call ahead, it's take out only for now , got a couple of double cheeseburgers , fries, that's what they had.. fries we're fresh and hot .. the burgers were hot and freshly made.. I was under the impression this was an ol school joint that made fresh hamburger patties.. I was wrong not saying premade is bad.. but the fresh patties would taste better.. anyway I'll give it another try since the first visit they were out of taco meat, chili, they did have sausage and hot dogs , I wasn't able to try (sausage) it, due to my preference of not eating pork.(didn't ask about hot dogs) and on a side note of sanitation an employee was out on break eating his lunch , with his gloves on.. I'm hoping they were changed when he went back to work... this would be my only negative experience here.. 🤔. on a positive note the lady that brought out the food was really nice...

Disappointing.

Was hoping for fast, hearty, local dive food and instead got sloppy, tasteless, sup par cafeteria food.

Pulled up to drive thru - waitress hollared it wasn't open.

Saw prices I liked, a patron there recommended burger and chili cheese fries.

Prices were reasonable for quick service food.

Ordered double cheeseburger and chili cheese fries.

Chatted with a friendly local retired drag queen while I waited.

Food came out quick.

Fries were undercooked, barely any cheese at all, dry, crumbly chili. Chili flavor was fine, but slightly under seasoned.

Was still hopeful for burger. Yuck. Unseasoned, thin, grey, patties with no sear at all.

So much mustard, stale bun about 1/3 bigger than meat patties.

Steer clear unless you are drunk or otherwise impaired and this is the only hot food you can...

Oh!! My God ... a KC, ICON!! .. it was the place on the weekends.. the Double Cheese burger, Tenderloin & Italian Steak Sandwiches were HUGH!!. and the fries with a Chili Cheese dog , food cooked to order. Let me not forget Milkshakes of any favor Black walnut, Pineapple yum!!, Strawberry, Peach, Eggnog and Cherry.. not to mention the homemade lemonade. The Owners were such amazing people who put their hearts, soul and love into their food. We would walk from 29th and Prospect with big sticks to keep the stray dogs from trying to get the food on our way back home lol!.. reminiscing bought tears to my eyes... Praise the Lord.. I will be eating there real soon. God bless the owners for leaving behind an...
