Honestly, great experience and worth it. I know its in a ghetto area, and yeah, sometimes you can tell, but you can also tell that they tryna make the best of what they have. I took my kids lately. I think the kiddie pool had been closed cause of technical issues, something about a slide mat? Anyways, it's just a local and fun waterpark. I'd you are visiting KC, I would recommend going somewhere else, cause this place is about having fun, not about being memorable or special. I been here several times through these last few years and this is definitely the best time. All the lifeguards were so attentive, for the most part. Some of the other guests were being kinda racist and causing problems. Anyways, this this the best pool in the area, safe and fun. But there's not antifungal unique or special about it. So like I said,I if you live nearby and wanna go swimming, 10/10 recommend. But if you're just one of those tourist people, go somewhere else, it's just a local warerpark and you're just unrealistic if you expect this place to be like summit waves, adventure oasis, is world's of fun. It only costs like 8 dollars per person so it was 1000000% worth it, will absolutely be coming back. They do have security guards at the front but I know that because of the neighborhood. If you're Southside, i absolutely recommend. I'd you're one of those north kc people or a tourist, go to the popular places and leave us...
Read moreI was really suprised with my visit here, it was quiet and not very busy but had many lifeguards on staff.
The lazy river was a blast of fun. It includes a natural wave generator area and is quite fun.
The kiddy splash pad area has a Jr. Waterslide which is also nice.
I didn't have a chance to hop on the wave runner. But this is a great way to learn how to wake board, surf or body board.
They had 2 tube waterslides that had zero wait and I could ride as much as I wanted.
They had 1 waterslide that was crazy and I recomend wearing a t shirt because it will tear the skin off your back on the way down die to lack of water generated.
They do have a security check point where they check bags and also wand you to make sure you have no weapons. Their pool was wheelchair friendly which was amazing to see.
There is a free splash pad just outside the Waterpark that looks like it was once included in the Waterpark but is now free. Standard price of 8bucks a trip and there open until 8pm daily.
I will def...
Read moreMy family will not be back. I've worked at a waterpark for 6 years, 4 as a certified lifeguard. Staff here was very unprofessional. You have children's lives at stake. I witnessed one lifeguard dancing to every song and socializing while at their post. Another was playing basketball in the water. And the staff at the top of the slides all went down the slides, while kids were still at the top! Twice! These were staff at their post, not on break. Not sure who certifies this park but they need to do an audit. A more trivial complaint is that the website says no outside food or beverages which we abided by but then their concessions was out of MANY items and down to PB&Js, candy, and chips. Not exactly the lunch I was looking for. The pool with the lap lanes was quite cloudy and dirty in comparison to the other pools. The pool cleaning/filtering equipment or chemicals needs to be looked at.
The best thing I saw was that they had plenty of life jackets on hand for anyone...
