I used to really like this restaurant until I started noticing things. For example, one time me and my family went. We all fluently speak Spanish so no language barrier. We go and eat our pupusas, we ask for the tomato sauce and repollo that goes with the pupusas. We get the sauce and it tastes disgusting. I’ve had that tomato sauce before and it tasted fine so I’m guessing it was expired or something. We then go again some months later to dine in. The service was okay, not the best but it’s fine. When we finish eating we go to pay and I saw that it seemed kinda expensive compared to the last time I had gone, although it was the same amount of people and we all ordered the same food from last time. I go to check the receipt and it turns out they had charged us double. I also read some of the other reviews and they clearly do it on purpose. Thankfully I speak Spanish so I could talk to the lady about it. She kept saying that they can’t refund and etc, eventually I got her to refund it back and we left. After that I thought the restaurant was a bit sketchy but honestly maybe it was a mistake. Another couple months after that, I went again because my daughter likes the food there and I thought maybe it won’t be as bad as last time. We go and dine in and my daughter ask if they have hamburgers. They lady said yes and I order pupusas. We get the tomato sauce and repollo and once again the sauce is bad. Clearly they don’t check the sauces which has to be some sort of health code violation. Anyway, we finish eating but my daughter starts crying. I asked her what’s wrong and she told me she had seen a cockroach. Disgusting?! No restaurant should have cockroach crawling in the floor. After that experience I was done and fed up and decided I wouldn’t come back here again. Unfortunately today my husband had gone with my 2 daughters and brought home food. I was at work so they didn’t tell me they were going to go back there. I get home and see that the pupusas are significantly smaller then they used to be. Not only that, but they are extremely thin. It felt like eating a tortilla. My 1 of my daughters had ordered another burger because she enjoyed the one she had ate last time. She remembered the one she ate last time had a sliced sausage which is pretty normal in Hispanic burgers. She asked the lady at the counter if they had burgers and the lady said yes. My daughter then asked if it came with sausage, the lady at the counter said “let me go check.” She came back and said yes. When my family gets home and my daughter go to eat her burger, there was no sausage. I don’t mind if they changed the menu and don’t add sausage anymore, it’s the fact that the forgot or they just lied? There’s no need to lie about it and if they just forgot, it’s stupid. How do you forget a burger ingredient especially after someone ask you if it includes sausage. Not to mention, every single time we’re there, all the waiters are snotty, stuck up and rude. Plus my husband ordered 10 pupusas and they only gave us small 3 bags of sauce. 1 bag of sauce is barely enough for 1 pupusa. We will 100% not be coming back here and no one else should. If this is your favorite restaurant, trust me they will eventually overcharge you and take advantage especially if you don’t speak Spanish. I would give 0 starts if I could and that’s NOT an...
Read moreWishing I could give 0 stars. I ordered online for my parents, my husband and for me. I knew it was a little bit of a large order so I called an hour ahead to go over it and explained my husband would be picking it up and wouldn't exactly know what to look for to check it and asked the guy (I speak Spanish fluently so no issue with language), I even wrote out the order and my husband handed it to the guy and asked him to check it and he was told it was all there. He comes home with about half the order only and they will also only give you one cabbage and sauce no matter how many pupusas you order, I guess you're supposed to share. I explained it was going to 2 households and he said that was my problem. Their "reglas" (rules) are only one for every 3 or 4 pupusas. Crazy! When I called to tell them they had left half our order out of the bag, he said we could come back and pick the rest up, yes he now saw it in the kitchen. What????? There was no sorry or let us give you something for your trouble (I told him when I called the first time to verify the order that we lived far away and could not return so please make certain it's all there). I won't ever be going back-they can keep their rules and...
Read moreI don't know how long this restaurant has been here but all the times I've been in this area I never knew it was here. Host was nice and helpful. I ordered 2 soft tacos (hard tacos isn't an option) and chicken fajitas with seasoned rice and refried beans (I hope purred). Food was delicious, no problem with taste. There are 3 reasons why They don't receive a 5 star. 1. The refried beans were soupy, more liquid than any other way I've had them. When making the order They spilled some on the outside of the container which I could see thru the bag. 2. No hard tacos! I love a good crunch while salsa covers My fingers with every bite. 3. Simply because I never knew they were here before now. After tasting real Latino/Mexican/Hispanic food, Taco Bell really is a joke. How do they exist with the mystery meat/ingredients? Anyhow, other than those 3 issues, however small or big one may think they are, I enjoyed Myself with My Family waiting for Our takeout. The music was great. I couldn't overstand one single word BUT the beat and rhythm had My body moving in the seat. Seriously. Overall, I enjoyed it and I will definitely be back this week. Hopefully there will be some nachos...
