To Whom It May Concern,
It is very unfair that some people come to the library and hold loud meetings for everyone to hear. A library is a quiet place where people come to read, study, and work in peace. It is not the place to share private conversations or work discussions.
People who work from home should be mindful. If you need to have a meeting or talk about personal or company matters, please stay home, use your car, or go to a park. You may think no one is listening, but people can hear you clearly—and conversations can be recorded and shared publicly. Talking loudly about other people’s information in a public space is not only rude, it can also break privacy rules.
It is also unfair for people to come to the library to teach English or any other subject so loudly that it feels like they are teaching the entire library. If you are getting paid to teach, this is not your workplace, and the library is not the place to make money. Please be mindful and go to a park or find a proper location where you can speak as loudly as you want without disturbing others. Using the library to run your classes loudly is disrespectful to everyone else who is trying to study or work quietly. This issue should be taken seriously—please find another place to teach loudly.
I understand when students talk loudly sometimes—they are still learning. But adults should know better. Listening to music out loud on your device or holding work meetings in the library is disrespectful. If you can hear your device without headphones, so can everyone else. If we can hear your boss or your personal calls, that means you are not being private.
Working from home means working from home, not from the library. If you cannot work quietly, maybe that job is not for you. The library is not a place to run your business or have long, loud conversations.
This library is a good place with great employees who do their best to keep it peaceful. But they can only do so much. As members of the community, it’s our job to show respect too.
Please, when you come to the Kearny Library, remember:
Keep your voice down.
Do not play music out loud.
Do not hold meetings in shared spaces.
Do not teach classes loudly in the library.
Respect the people who are studying or reading.
If you just want to hang out or pass time, that’s fine—but be quiet. Respect the library and everyone who uses it.
Thank you for...
Read moreThe Kearny Library. For some is a get away from the everyday mundane life. Others, it can be a 2nd home, the pleasure of attending Miss Q's cooking class was a smash hit wonder with many others myself included, had the pleasure of tasting fresh filled ingredients mixed to together in what could only be described as flavor heaven.
With Q's excellent yam & Blueberry Pancakes. It should be noted that these gorgeous french toast looking small pieces of batter all originate from the Cook's personal experience in experimenting other recipes. However, through trial & error. The end result landed with a pop wow punch to the mouth followed with a smooth ending for the stomach's relief soon afterwards.
As previously method theses Pancakes were made through a well control flame set at mid-high. At the hand of their cook with, two to three flips the pancakes color changed until what could only be described was seemingly a well crafted and thoughtful prepared product; although it must be added that upon reaching their plates. One can be subjected to the marvelous aroma of butter. Giving the texture of the pancakes a light shining coat that melts when the kitchen utensil makes contact to cut apart the soft cake.
So, if you have an interest or any skepticism of this review being false in any way, shape or form. Than it would be wise to attend the next cook meeting n witness Miss Q herself in...
