Split Rock Galleria Movie Theater — Attraction in Kidder Township

Do not stay at this hotel. I will spell out the few pros and cons. The cost we spent and the additional costs charged this hotel should be so much cleaner and have all things up and running. It has so much potential but at this time it is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, that includes airport hotels and motels. Pros: The staff was very friendly. The hotel had a lot of potential and good spaces. Loved the arcade. Room was a good space – not clean as will be mentioned btu had a good amount of room. Cons: We did not have heat or heater in our room for first 3 nights. We were promised a heater every day and did not get it. I had to go to the front desks multiple times on the 4th day in order to get it after I was told it was being expedited. Extremely dirty. Our bathtub was blue. – dropped the white washcloth on the floor it turned blue. Could see crumbs or dirt on floor. Went and purchased Lysol wipes to clean kitchen and tops of dressers. In hall way all week passed the same large pieces of food (multiple pieces). There was a dead large fly in bowling area that was their all week so no one was cleaning there. The amenities – I was charged an additional $65 a day for these basic amenities that any standard hotel has: Pool was a nice space but my kids all had rashes by the end of the week from the chemicals and chlorine. My kids were told they could not be in the hot tub for health concerns (should be the parents’ decision) and the hot tub was not hot it was warm. Arcade was one of our favorites. Bowling alley was nice but not kept up. Mentioned it in the cleanliness. The lanes were wonky you could hear them when the balls went down and they always curved the same direction. Fitness center was decent but broke machines, weights all over and nothing to wipe down machines or weights with. Room: Missing so much stuff: no hand soaps, did not get a typical starter pack of dish soap, missing garbage cans, missing cooking sheet and pans. Mentioned the tub being blue and floor having crumbs on it. Remote didn’t have batteries. The water pressure was insane to the point my son kept saying it hurt and honestly, we all avoided taking a shower. The windows had a/c units in them and tape on them. Could feel a breeze from them not sealing all the way. Family room was set up very off and couches were extremely uncomfortable. We ended up sitting at the table or in the bed because couches...

Thank goodness for the work that was put into this place to give it an update on the overall appearance because from 2016-2020 this place was a hot mess changing from hands to hands and was going down to the dogs. We paid maintenance fee for a place we no longer enjoyed coming to. Now! Here on 2024 which will be our last time here and soon as I get here to check in two clerks were trying to figure out info. On a guess and I was the only one waiting I was told they would be with me after about 15-20 minutes one clerk disappeared and a line formed and the other clerk started taking other guess and I ask her you do know that I have been waiting to check in and her response was she thought the other clerk had me that was not there and then she made eyes like it was my fault she was so unprofessional then she checked me in and when we got to our rooms no AC or fan was working and I kept calling and no answer so we went to the front desk to complain I had to ask for two fans to use because I was told by another person that he had no air neither I also observed that they had a fan on at the desk usually the AC would be on and everdently they already new this situation existed because I thought I heard someone else complaining as well. I am so glad that this night mere will be over after 5-31-24 Timeshare ends. I will be back to give my overall review and hope the rest of my time here ends on a positive note. My second review We left one day early whenever I called for service 3-4 hours would pass then I would put in another call to get service that I had already called and requested. Elevator rug could use a cleaning and if you don't get in right away the door will start closing on you. The service is not what it used to be once upon a time. Once Memorial Day was over it looked liked everyone was gone lol. There was no meeting or greeting for Timeshare Owners. I will say again the place appearance has improved but I'm glad that my time is up and no more maintence fee or Resort fee that was added on this last four years that I never had to pay before. I paid over 6000. To own time then maintenance fee on even number when it's time for our stay. We were told a bunch of lies when we first purchased and Everytime I would called they told me the person who sold us the time was not in. Split Rock is a great place to bring your family the staff is simply WONDERFUL my hat is off to Jessie in arts and crafts she did a Fantastic job handling those darling kids, and Brenna with the games I Had a ball playing all the game I learned 2 new ones."Tensy &Left Right."

Calvin and Tahzay were so SWEET in the game room everytime the games would get stuck in the game room Calvin and Tahzay really helped me a lot they both were very Patient even when I took so long picking out a Prize. lol lol. Greg and bingo The prizes are always great. Rose from the Restaurant was WONDERFUL very friendly & Attentive she did a fabulous job getting our food fast and HOT. I love split Rock we've been there like 3 times last year for summer as well as The Winter n Spring too, and this year we just left about 3 weeks ago and it was just a great time we stayed for two weeks this time. The downside was the pool it had a lot of HAIR in it and I purposely put the Hair by the edge of the pool and they did NOT clean it so I was a little disappointed about that.
