We had our sons 8th birthday here and it was absolutely amazing! The booking process was super easy , everything is very straight forward . You get a party host that helps the day of your party - we were fortunate enough to get kristhal . She is absolutely amazing !!!! She called me 2 nights prior to the party to go over everything with me on how the party will go and that we were in good hands. And yes in fact we were ! She handled my childs party of 20+ kids with grace and nothing but a smile on her face ! She made sure my son was the star of the party , skated with him and his friends - she even skated with my 2 year old daughter for a little bit . Had the kids laughing and checked on all the kids that fell - even me when i took a complete wipe out .she updated me the entire time on how many wristbands i was going through , what was happening next - really anything i needed to know she was there looking for me to update me. But what really made the whole thing was when we got into the party room. It was absolutely chaos in the best way . She looked at the giant table of wild 7-8 year olds and said “YALL WANT SOME BALLOON ANIMALS !” You can imagine the excitement but then she says “ YALL WANT FACE PAINT !!!” The whole room exploded with excitement! She had at least 8 kids drawing on her face at once , 3 kids pulling on her to get her to make her a balloon animal and im sure someone asking for more pizza . And still just smiled and handled these kids like it was nothing . And then after the party was said and done she cleaned up the entire mess still with all the face paint and a smile ! Kristhal you are truly so amazing , you have a heart of gold and deserve nothing but the best in life ! The kids absolutely love you and my son cant wait for the pj party so he can see you again! We will be back for more parties and hopefully...
Read moreWe took our grand daughter to this Ice Skating place for her Birthday Party. Its located in Kissimmee Florida. Very organized. Snack bar food was good. Very large main rink, skaters were monitored by staff. This made you feel safe as staff would stop people who were not being appropriate and given a very nice warning. The learners rink (smaller) Very nice for beginners and elderly. Mind you I'm from Green Bay WI. And skated all the way through my teenage years. And considered a fairly good skater. First, the skates were well maintained and in good condition. Staff were very friendly toward people who were not sure of size or for many who had never skated before. They offered a learners device made of metal tubing that learners could hold onto and get used to the skates. Well at 78 years old and like I said considered a fairly good skater I decided to just hold the wall around the outside of the small rink until I got used to the skates. THAT NEVER HAPPENED!!!! After a number of times around the rink I thought I'd just venture out on the ice. Actually I thought I was doing well. I must have forgot my age.. As that was what my doctor said when ordering x-rays of my ribs. Sure enough 2 fractured 1 cracked. Seeing the x-rays my doctor stepped back and said "what in the hell ever made you think after an absence from skating for 50 plus years you could even put on skates or for that matter at your age put on skates." Well we both laughed I did while holding my arm across my ribs. The following year my grand daughter wanted her party at the Ice Factory again. I'm a quick learner... Stayed out side of the ice rinks and took pictures. FAIR ADVISE FOR PEOPLE MY AGE.. Enjoy the Ice Factory its a great place to hold kids...
Read moreFirst time ice skating here in Florida, but we are all experienced as we moved from Minnesota and were born with skates on our feet- lol 😊. We went on a Sunday evening open skate. First impressions were not super great. A lot of little things, honestly- but added up... really made the place feel neglected. Lots of trash and litter, a quick run through with a broom would take care of that. All of the tables in the eating area were really dirty. Again, a quick run through with a cleaning rag and sanitizer would have solved that. The women's restroom was also pretty gross. My husband said the men's room was ok. We rented skates, but they were all dull. Every single pair. I understand someone who doesn't have experience with ice skating not knowing what sharp skates are supposed to feel like when you are using them, but they honestly grip the ice and are much less "slippery" than you would imagine. The dull skates made ice skating much more difficult than it had to be. Some positives: the staff were very friendly and willing to switch out skates that rubbed wrong. The music was up beat and not so loud that you could not have a conversation if you wanted to. They resurfaced the ice about halfway through the skating session for a smooth ride. They have assistance devices of different sizes for beginners and children and a smaller rink for those not ready to be in the larger, faster moving area. Over all, my impression was that it is a good place that could truly be great if the employees took a little more initiative- especially cleaning and...
