First off, it is an institute of technology, not a university. NASA applications say "Technology institute graduates need not apply." NASA isn't alone in this.
I had 5 different advisors by the end of my 1st month. No one could be bothered. My final advisor was the department chair, and when he "helped" me sign up for 3 classes, 1 was class was held in Washington, and another class wasn't even scheduled for that term, so I was left with one class that term. The next term, like the term before, I needed a unique password to register for classes. Only problem was the only person who could give me the password, my advisor, was on vacation. I had to talk with his superiors to get him to reply to my email for the password. When he replied, he had an attitude.

1- Average students in the class between 10 to 25, so that is very good to ask and participate as well as most of the professors can easily recognize each student. 2- Reasonable professors. 3- OIT located in Klamath City which is small and cheap town. 4- Easy to get high grade if you do all your HW, NO absent , more participation. 5 - Library stuff is very helpful. 6- Safe and good place to study in. 7- US News classified Oregon Tech as one of the best five universities.
Cons: 1- Library hours are very terrible. 2- Klamath City is not active city, after 7 pm every one dies. 3- There is nothing to do if you have free time except outdoor activities. 4- Heath Center is...
Read moreAs a community member, and now as a parent of a student, I have been on the OIT campus as a guest multiple times in the last 20 years. The campus is well maintained, from the facilities to the landscaping, and the hospitality at events continues to climb. The faculty ratios are excellent, the tuition costs and scholarship and work study opportunities are abundant, and if you're a local resident, there are extra incentives for a college freshman to attend Oregon Tech. I definitely recommend looking at Oregon Tech for an affordable education with significant emphasis on degree completion and...
