UPDATE: Sandy, the manager was very apologetic, took responsibility for the issue, assured us that they will NOT be doing this again next year. She worked with us to make things right by us. Even though the night clerk told us they do this every winter Sandy told us that was not correct, this was the first and last time they will do this. (We've stayed here in Winter before and not experienced this so as suspected night clerk was incorrect). Sandy emphasized how important their repeat customers are to them. I told her that we would try them again as our several previous stays were great! So, maybe don't go until Spring and things should be better moving forward. Plus the restaurant may be back open!!! The rooms are large. Go for the King Suite with the sleeper sofa if you can, very spacious. Rooms have good sized closet, single serve coffee maker, small fridge and microwave in kitchenette with it's own sink. Also a large tv in bed area and a 2nd one in sitting area as well. I believe 2 queens rooms have same amenities (except sofa and 2nd tv) but haven't stayed in one of them for a few years so I don't remember for sure. Nice pool, steam room and sauna. Small fitness room but better than nothing when it's cold or too dark outside.
THANK YOU SANDY
This hotel is now a residence during the winter. These "residents" are very rude and inconsiderate of others who have paid good money to stay a night or two and expect to be able to sleep. They are so noisy: running and jumping, yelling, running up and down the stairs and hallways. The front desk says they can't do anything about it because they are long term residents.WE had to be the ones to wake up a young child and move 3 floors up rather than the hotel dealing with the ones who were creating the problem! We have been repeat customers of this hotel for several years and always, in the past, enjoyed our stay but now apparently the group who lives there runs the place. They hang out in the lobby coughing without covering their mouths or wearing a mask while saying "Oh, I'm SO sick..." This is a HOTEL not a private residence. These people should be held to the same conduct standards as the rest of us! I cannot recommend this place anymore, especially during the winter residency period. Stay at the Quality Inn instead. They are also pet friendly and have an indoor...
Read moreUpdate* So after a month and many phone calls I finally emailed guest services and this was Thier response: Good Morning Ms. Moore I am writing in reference to your call and emails regarding your stay in Klamath Falls Shilo Inns. I have discussed this incident with the General Manager and Corporate. We feel this was a very difficult situation for you of course. Please except our sincere apology. We have made sure that the two rooms you were in that night have been 100% refunded by the parties you booked thru. We feel we have done all we can to assist you in this matter. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to correct this.
Thank you. Well thank you cuz I'll never stay there again.
So we chose to stay her for our 10yr wedding anniversary mainly because we saw the bar and restaurant online. Come to find out at checkin that the bar and restaurant are closed and have been for some time . Ok that's fine we still stay. We get to our room on the fourth floor we shower and change for our date night to go out for our anniversary. Get on the elevator and it just stops. Yep the elevator broke with us on it. My disabled husband who has a fractured spine and claustrophobia and me in a dress deathly afraid of getting stuck on an elevator we're stuck in between floors on an elevator for over 30 mins. We both were freaking out both trying not to hyperventilate and me balling my eyes out. The fire department came and rescued us. I had to slide down a ladder in a dress!!!! This was not only terrifying but also highly embarrassing. The lady at the front desk said the manager would be contacting us before we left and we also called the corporate office and left a message. The manager never contacted us so upon check out we asked to talk to the manager and the rude guy at the desk said they would be in on Monday. After my husband demanded him to call the manager, she told the front desk guy that she would deal with us on Monday. She not only lied to us but how completely unprofessional. She will be hearing from my lawyer and maybe that will...
Read moreThe price was right compared to all the others in town and we were there for a week to visit family and friends. We liked the room set up with the 2 beds, fridge, microwave, sink and large counter. It made it easy to prepare snacks in the room to save money considering there was no continental breakfast and the contracted onsite restaurant and sports bar, although having posted hours, is hit or miss with being open.
The room itself smelled musty and slightly of dog pee which wasn't surprising considering the numerous large stains in the carpet. I bought Febreze and a room air freshener that was used the entire week we were there. I also purchased my own toilet paper as the stuff provided was probably worse than used in Jail facilities. The freezer needed defrosting badly which was probably why the fridge did not cool properly. The microwave was ancient, although it worked. There were only 2 towels, hand towels and face cloths for a double room and they don't clean or refresh daily. The in room coffee was pretty much warm brown water. The water pressure in the shower was great. The toilet had to constantly have the handle shaken to stop in from running and was so short I had to grab the wall to get up.
On the plus side, the employees were nice, the lobby was always clean and smelled much better than the room, the pool and hot tub were clean and refreshing and the location was perfect. Within walking distance to several fast food establishments, Chili's and the Tap House which had food trucks and entertainment.
The parking lot was a bit downtrodden and several homeless would set up for the evening near the property.
The property needs to be updated completely, get a permanent restaurant and bar with set hours that are actually adhered to and get rid of the homeless, then it might be a better place for a vacation spot.
Also, I don't mind dogs, but the amount of dogs staying during the time we were there, was kind of crazy. There were dogs always walking through the lobby and you could hear barking now and then throughout the...
