Great job, Breakout Games, yet again. This was my third escape game played at Breakout Games - Knoxville (we escaped from Hostage, this time) and all three games have been a very unique and enjoyable experience. The hosts and hostesses have all had great personalities and I could not have asked for a more friendly and professional interaction with each one. While the games are somewhat expensive, it is a great time to be had, completely different from any other. I strongly recommend Breakout Games - Knoxville to anyone looking for a good time, using communication and intellect.

Update 9/9/18 - a group of 8 of us took advantage of a $17 per person Groupon deal for their Runaway Train event! The sensation was as decent as before, but one of the many puzzles in this scenario stuck us at a bottleneck that required two of our three hints. But we escaped with 5:33 minutes to spare! 07/ 2015 - Quite a bit on the pricy side, $35 per person, but it's still fun. Our group of 4 attended the Hostage (Airplane Hijacking) room and was on the last puzzle before we died! I don't know when was the last time I was handcuffed! X-D Bring the nerds & the geeks!

We had a blast! We had 2 adults, 1 8 year-old, and 5 year-old twins and got out with like 2 minutes to spare. 5 and under is free. Near the end, the background music gets fun and intense, which made it more exciting. Patrick was our guide. He did great at giving us clues while giving us time to struggle just the right amount. We would love to go back soon!

This is my umpteenth time at Breakout Knoxville and my second time tackling Kidnapping. I took my employees to do this game for our Christmas party. Unfortunately our game host, "C" (name withheld because it's a management issue not a "review" issue), was a bit uptight. Actually a LOT uptight. His attitude made one of my employees irritated because we were there to have fun and he was clearly not a FUN kind of game host. Also a few elements in the room were non-functioning. The safe on the wall, WE SWEAR, did not work. Yes, we got locked out of it but it says it unlocks after 3 minutes. We waited at least 5 minutes. Nothing. There was no power to it. Our irritated game host finally came in and opened it. Also, the magnet on the wall to "release" the object didn't work. Beeped a million times. Our game host finally just gave us the "numbers" that were on the object. A previous gamer had written "numbers" and such on the back of one of the victims pictures. The game host didn't catch this and told us that information was not part of the game. Finally, the black light needs new batteries.

I'll be back...we will be back...but we will ask for a different...FUN...game host and ask the site to double check that all elements are working before we go in.

UPDATE: 4/23/2021 Definitely needing some Game Masters that have an ounce of personality and enthusiasm. If a group comes in and pays money to go in a breakout room it should be exciting and suspenseful. That’s not the case when “M” is the game master. Completely boring and...

Just a big warning to all escape inthuist. The prices at breakout game (several location) have gone way up and on the weekend and they have to book 4 plays to get a room going. I call today (sat 06/10/23) and requested a room that had not been booked at all and was starting in 20 min. I was informed that on the weekends they require 4 players or I had to book it private. so I could play for all 4 slots at the sum of $136.00 for 2 players . . . When less than a month ago it was $24-36 per play and no minimum players. My wife and i have done almost all of the breakout games and only have 3 left to complete them all. The oddest thing to me was that there was no one in the room. So they would rather stay empty that make $70. It saddens me because I have done over 40+ rooms and Breakout was one of my top picks for the price and consistency at several different sites but now it certainly has...

Alyssa is the absolute best at the Knoxville location! My friends and I did The Kidnapping, and it was fantastic! We had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anyone! Since my initial review I have been back here to play Mystery Manor with Alicia and Kidnapping Part 2 with Olivia, and they have all been very fun and entertaining! The game hosts were all very kind and helpful. I highly recommend escape rooms for groups of family and friends! All of my cousins get together once a month and this was a great option to keep us entertained in a way that is affordable and not just a dinner or movie like usual. It is also ideal if you want to hang out with friends but don't want to do a typical coffee or lunch date or perhaps if you can't or don't want to go out for drinks. Don't be afraid to give escape rooms a try if you have never been! They...
