Had a terrible experience here. I work in the mall and my family came to do some shopping. After my shift I went to this store with about 30 min to closing with my family. While my mom shopped, my younger sister and brother wanted to get a sample from of the chocolate. There was very little left, mind you. The entire time an older lady with short hair watched us like a hawk. As soon as my siblings were done she went straight to us to tell us how we must have an adult with us to try anything. I explained to her that I'm 23 and she apologized. The two women working the front that night (including her) never greeted us but obviously greeted and asked two other gentlemen if they needed assistance.
I feel as if they treated us differently based on our appearance. We just dressed our age. We weren't loitering, we were shopping. In my experience with customer service, you treat every customer the same. Why wait to tell us about the samples when she watched us the entire time? Why not ask us if we needed help?
You can disagree if you want to, but I just wanted to share my experience with this store location. And I will not be giving them my business at all...
Read moreI took an amazing cooking demonstration class at this location, with Chef Paul. He was a very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful instructor. The meal that he made for us was incredible, absolutely delicious. Although it was a complex process, he made working with the ingredients seem effortless. Cooking has never been one of my talents, but this demonstration inspired me to keep trying new things. The class was appropriate for students of all skill levels. I was impressed by the large portions and quality of the meal we were served. It was a wonderful and memorable experience! I would recommend bringing your friends for a stress free evening out. This personalized demonstration was so much better than simply dining out. It was very entertaining, and highly educational. I look forward to attending more events like this one...

The 8 qt Thermoclad pot was gift wrapped by the store but when taken out of the box and protective plastic wrap, it was dusty, had fingerprints all over it, and still had the price tag on it. Clearly this piece had been on display. This was an anniversary gift from my husband. He said the guy went to the back to get it. It never occured to my husband that he needed to open the box and check it. Who would? The real problem lies in the fact that we often purchase items from Williams Sonoma as gifts allowing the store to gift wrap them. Now that I have received a gift in this condition I have no confidence that the gifts that I have purchased for others hasn't had the same problem. How embarrassing. Shame on you Knoxville...
