Asian Chao — Restaurant in Knoxville

Stopped with my kids the other day and decided to grab food here after getting a sample of the bourbon chicken. Came back and got a plate with bourbon chicken and orange chicken. Was shocked when I was told the plate was $15.28. Looked back at the menu and thought, yeah it’s only $10.99 how did it jump so high. I didn’t order a drink or any extras. Finally noticed the menu is set up and shows the first option as one entree and one side, two sides, and one entree, and then two entrees and one side, like it’s done intentionally to catch people off guard.

I decided to go ahead and pay it since I already had my kids lunch from Taco Bell. Then I asked if either of the sauces contained any orange as my kids are allergic and I just wanted to be sure if they could have a bite or not (for reference, panda expresses orange chicken does not contain any orange). It took three employees who did not understand the question (or English in general it seems) and nearly ten minutes to finally get the answer and my food because they kept trying to take it away.

Never again. In the end, my kids cold Taco Bell leftovers...

Obviously the food is always a 10. Due to the service/prices, any time my family wants to come here I feel like punching myself in the face. Obviously, I take them, in hopes that their service attitude will be different, but it never is. The younger female and 1 younger male employee make it semi bearable, but the one guy who apparently has higher rank, needs to be kept in the back clear away from ANY & ALL customers. He even plates the food different, always trying to put the least amount of meat in the order. But today, when I spotted him grabbing a bite of the meat with his little fingers, on top of his upmost rude behavior & facial expressions, I was done. The other one has grabbed food up with his hands and ate it(2x that I've seen), but that's at closing when they're cleaning up, so whatever. Just please train the rude one in how to plate the food and how to provide decent...

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! Most horrible food!!! THIS IS NOT CHINESE FOOD!! What do they put in those noodles!! Never saw burnt orange colored noodles! 2 SLIVERS OF ONION IN ALL THOSE NOODLES THE! The flavor was horrible & salty! The sweet old man out front gave us a taste of the bourbon chicken! It was fresh& hot! What we got in the meal was awful. Both myself and my grandson went to return the food. The man said we ate most the chicken! He's a Liar, they gave us smaller portions than the ppl before us and the noodle flavor seeped into it. Made it taste horrible! He was rude & yelled at us . I diidnt even want a refund just let him know it tasted badly and the chicken...
