This was a wonderful place to spend the day. Yesterday was our first time going here, but will not be our last! Its was so clean, and the teens that work there were so nice, always smiling and laughing, they really have fun at their job. We ordered snacks and they were so good, the pulled pork nachos were really good!!! And the food was priced lower than any other water park we have visited. And the price to get in for the whole day.....5.00 for adults 12 and older 4.00 for 11 years and younger, smaller kiddos were free!!!! The water slides were so much fun and my kiddos lived on them....there was a lazy river that was very relaxing and had some surprises with bubbling water lol....the pool although very full with lots of kids and adults staying cool as it was almost 100 degrees yesterday, still left room to actually swim with your kids, the kiddie side of the pool was full of kiddos having a great time with their mommys, daddy's and grandparents!!!! The whole day I never heard one teen ( and there were LOTS ) cussing, being disrespecting, rude, none of this happened that I heard, and we were there ALL DAY!!! there is only 2 things I would like to see more of.....as there were no chairs when we got in.....and we staked our claim to a spot in the grass with a huge blanket, maybe more chair and some more umbrellas as we saw some Senoir Citizens who fought to find shade while their grand kids played for the day.....and although some teenagers offered their shaded spots for these Senior Citizens ( which make me smile to see these teens being concerned and caring ) I was concerned for these folks with as hot as it was and they were not swimming, you could tell they were only there so their grand kids could have fun... But I would say we look forward to spending more time at Kokomo Beach this Summer for sure!!!! Great job...
Read moreSomeone needs to let them know 9/11 is over. Bags thoroughly checked for weapons by armed guards. However, they were friendlier than the teenage authority on staff. Once passed TSA I was holding a can of coke and was greeted by a girl that spoke to me without me knowing it “you have to throw that out before you enter”…ok no problem. Then she just stood there. I thought she was the one helping me but it was the non smiling girl behind window #1 that would take my money for 4 adults and 3 kids 🤷🏻♂️. We were warned for a 1 year old touching the rope, going to the wrong exit for the lazy river, one of the life guards looked like they were sleeping, and was told to stay in the tube (as an adult) when there were kids outside their tubes going down the lazy river while joking with another life guard. One of the life guards watching the water slide exit, we swear he was asleep, and they have two life guards constantly walking around the kid area. I think they should save their energy for an actual emergency rather than wasting it walking around while watching where they’re walking. Just seemed to be whistle blowing teenagers running the joint. A few were nice and you can tell those are the ones that will succeed in life. SMILE!!! This is a family park! And I know it probably won’t matter but do away with TSA at the front door. No need to comment back that it’s for my safety. I’m not buying what your selling. Other than that it’s a great park! Very clean and tidy. Water was clean. Kids had a blast. Bring sunscreen! Your biggest danger is...
Read moreLifeguards can most often be seen socializing amongst themselves while watching paying patrons go under attempting to exit the lazy river, lifting no finger to help despite being paid to assist guests in that exit..or watching people struggle to resurface off a slide trip (to the extent that bystanders have intervened). They excel in blowing whistles at children yelling walk, or instructing middle aged persons in the importance of not halting their movement in the lazy river, as these things are clearly against the rules. Safety functions of the job are inconsistently important, "management" can occasionally be seen doing the same things if the current guard in an area is particularly pretty. Beyond that it maybe useful to know that if you're unfortunate enough to drop anything in the locker room close to closing and happen to not notice until after closing, that item will likely just be gone as lifeguards have explained they simply throw anything away when found while cleaning the locker room in the evenin. It goes a little more...
