Had a 2x esp...barista asked if I wanted ice which was a little odd. It also came in a tall mug, also a little odd. I don't think the coffee is very good; I was stopping through Kokomo and hoping for something better thanStarbucks, something local too. It was kind of astringent, "bready" like dark pumpernickel rye. Minimal crema, but that's not necessarily important.
Really cool decor, friendly w my dog coming in.
Edit after owner reply: At least for the esp, I think a better coffee and a little lighter roast, maybe a fine tune on a grind, and cups normal for single double and triple esp only shots would put this right into 5 star for me. I'm a GM for a local mom n pop restaurant and coffee shop in a large downtown metro using an Simonelli Appia II; we order custom green from Genuine Origin, and then roast local. Some simple 4oz Gibraltars are multi use, or you could get dedicated esp mugs. But yeah really cool place; a little and inexpensive improvement on the esp will go a...
Read moreThis is not just a coffee shop. They have delicious bubble tea, and Italian sodas! The deathwish coffee is an excellent pick me up if you are going to have a busy day, and the regular house coffee is great too! They are also now serving breakfast and lunch, in addition to Dan's Doughnuts and a variety of other fresh baked goods, Scoops Ice Cream sandwiches, and local honey from Kokomo bees. And it's all reasonably priced!
The atmosphere is unlike anything else in Kokomo, with art for sale on the walls, pottery for sale to paint and amazing staff that teach techniques to those with advanced skill or lacking artistic skill. At the front of the shop, local musicians set up and play live music for tips on Friday and Saturday nights!
It's between Cook McDoogal's and Bind Cafe on Main street in downtown Kokomo on the courthouse square!...

There was some open mic going on and the talent was real. The girl playing the piano was great. Although the 1 and 3 year olds on the mic is cute, it’s only cute for a minute. Please keep small children off. The added speaker was a bit much(too loud) and we had to almost yell to talk at times. We played some board games and the kids played some too. There was other craft things to do such as painting as a family or on date night. What a great idea for family fun that doesn’t cost an arm and leg. I will be frequently finding myself in this...
