Attended a free concert over the weekend at the Art Pavilion in the park. Parking is at the opposite end of where the the pavilion is, but it offers a pleasant walk through the park. The grounds well maintained, nice wide walking paths, water fountains scattered throughout at various levels to accommodate both people and pets, there was a restroom facility that even offered hot water for hand washing (a rare thing in most public parks) there are several tennis courts, basketball courts, a wicked skate park area, a child's playground, the pavilion with a stage for events, plenty of grassy areas, picnic tables scattered here and there... a very well thought out...

I do understand that some people are lazy and don't take responsibility or clean up after their pet, but proper care and walks prior to entering area to relieve the pet of any bowel movements would help, plus some people bring their "so called" non aggressive dogs which are dangerous. How about this, create and sale a daily or 3 day pet pass with proceeds going to local charities. Have each owner sign an acknowledgment statement of responsibilty.... a win for all, except for the...

Grounds were clean, a little standing water, the skate park and play sets were well maintained however next to the restrooms there is a hole in the ground, covered with a grass green slotted covering which my 3 year old nephew fell into, as there was no signage or warning. It was made to blend in but for whatever reason it was not secured down and moved off when he stepped on it and he fell in. Scraped leg, busted knee and soaked from his hips down. This DEFINITELY needs fixed....
