Steeplechase Park — Attraction in Kyle

An absolutely beautiful park that we see being used all the time!

It's definitely one of our top 10 parks especially for toddlers! There's plenty of swings and 2 baby swings which one is a dual swing!

There's a beautiful scenic view with all of the mature trees in the back and there's plenty to do!

They have a covered pavilion with restrooms, a sand volleyball court, 2 playground structures, a basketball court, disk golf, a nearby dog park, a paved walking trail and just plenty of room to roam around! They are also in the process of building a new splashpad and we are very excited to try it out next summer!

I can't speak highly enough about how well kept and maintained this course was (In some areas) especially considering its size. However, overall course layout and course maneuverability are abysmal to say the least. Lots of throws over a creek with some good depth, or in some cases directly at it, and no real clear or easy way to cross. Requires a lot of back tracking or sketchy crosses. It's a one and done for me with the current layout. If they ever change it, I may be interested in trying again because the place definitely has...

Kids riding 4 wheeler unsupervised. Soccer players throw trash and beer cans everywhere. Soccer players peeing all over the park just standing by trees while kids are playing on playground near by. Need to find another way to slow or stop erosion like concrete scraps, rocks or something other than let all the weeds and brush take over the park.
