Lake Kyle Park is a wonderful spot for a relaxing day outdoors. The park itself is very clean, with open restrooms and plenty of water available, making it convenient for families and anglers alike.
One of the few downsides is that there is no direct access across the lake—you have to walk all the way around to reach the opposite side. Additionally, maintenance around the shoreline could be improved. Weeds and shoots prevent full access to much of the lake, leaving only narrow paths and small clearings created by previous visitors.
Fishing access is also somewhat limited. The park has only one small dock, which can comfortably hold two to three people at a time. It would be ideal if the dock extended further into the lake or if multiple docks were added along the shoreline to give more anglers a chance to enjoy the lake.

The paved and/or crushed granite path goes up to the pondy-lake, and is flanked by small trees that will provide shade in a couple of years. There are bench seats & a couple of "fishing stations" around the water. The pond, fields, and additional grass/dirt paths are all exposed, so get your run in early! ☀️ I went with my on-leash dog, which I kept on-leash, as I expected snakes to be around, plus, it's an on-leash park. Read moreWas at Pie in the Sky a balloon and pie festival in Kyle the last weekend in August. Lots of food ,music and balloons. There is a morning and an afternoon sessions with balloon rides ,bands,food,pie and other vendors. On non festival days the park is large with a lake that is stocked with fish. Gear for kids to fish with is available at the office for free. A nice park for gatherings. Saw the Wall That Heals a replica of the Vietnam Memorial that is a3/4 size of the original.
