I was referred to Dr. David George at Texas Oncology in Kyle. Dr. George is a specialist focusing on Oncology and Hematology. I was diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia. Making my appointment was super easy. I received a phone call from Adrian who explained everything about the appointment process. He e-mailed me all the paperwork to have completed before my appointment. Then he confirmed Dr. George was in network with my insurance. When I arrived to my first appointment to meet with Dr. George I was greeted by Tina who was wonderful. I had a lot of questions about the paperwork. Tina took her time talking to me and was great. I had to have blood work done and Irene was fantastic! She did a great job getting my blood quickly and on the first try. Then I met the MA Jennifer who I felt like was my homegirl. She was very professional but she was so easy to talk to. Dr. George came in and his bedside manner was great. He explained everything and gave me peace of mind. He did tell me that I would need to get an iron IV. Shannon and Nicole were the infusion nurses and while they had a difficult time finding my veins (my veins always make nurses work for their money honey) they were patient and got it done. I have spoken with Eliza multiple times and she is always so pleasant and Anisa who was great. Overall I am so happy to be treated at this location. I feel like everyone was so compassionate and kind. Great staff here. I highly recommend this location...
Read moreMaria at the San Marcos and Kyle location is completely incompetent. Took me a month and a half to get in touch after playing phone tag. I left DETAILED information ie, name, birthday, phone number and issue to schedule an appt. She never listened to the messages and called my phone when I was unable to answer, when I specifically left messages saying when I would be able to answer my phone. When I finally did get the appropriate call back she told me that she needed my birthday to get my records. I left that message a month ago. Now someone else would call me back to schedule my appt, another two days later. When you are on the phone with her she constantly repeats herself like she is reading from a script, and argues with you. This definately is extremely discouraging and frustrating when you are already stressed out about having to consult with an oncologist. Texas Oncology in general needs a better way to schedule appts for people. No one should have to wait this long and deal with such incompetency when dealing with this. No wonder you cant leave a google review, they'd probably...
Read moreMy husband was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and is a patient of Dr. Eric Meyers. It is such a scary situation to be in, especially since we had never heard of this disease. We are so grateful for being placed under Dr. Meyers care. He is truly knowledgeable, empathetic, kind, down to earth and always took the time to answer any questions we had. I felt like he was a great advocate for my husband when things were moving slow with other clinics outside of Texas Oncology. My husband felt at ease receiving his DVRd treatment at this location. The entire staff is kind and helpful as well. No one wants to have to visit a hematology oncologist, but they made the situation my husband is in easier. We thank you so much...
