Guadalupe Park extends from Walnut to Idaho, with a pedestrian pathway that goes along the train tracks next to the Gary Center and behind Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. It's perfect for walking dogs and there's a lot of wildlife (particularly in the mornings): coyotes, rabbits, ground squirrels, regular squirrels, falcons, woodpeckers. The only thing is that the path is sometimes frequented by addicts. I've run into people doing (non-weed) drugs a handful of times, although it has been quieter in the winter time which is nice. Also, a psa that needs to be said: stop littering, and please pick up after your dogs. It's really not that hard to do either of those things. Things to note: there's a small parking lot at the park entrance off of Walnut. It fits around 4-5 vehicles. Also some of the photos by other users in these reviews are from Loma Verde Park, not Guadalupe Park. There is no ball field or basketball court. Those are located at Loma Verde further down Walnut. Guadalupe park has a playground, and three fitness spots on the other side of Monte Vista.

The grass park area is small but looks like nice play groud equipment. Probably the best part is a long paved path that follows the railroad tracks under the shade of eucalyptus trees all the way to Beach Blvd. Only one street crossing at Idaho. Between Idaho and Beach there are some exercise stations every 100 feet (parallel bars, monkey bars, pull up bars, etc). I just wish the path went much further along the railroad tracks. Better plant some trees now so that a nice path can be made in 15 years from now. Hit the thumbs up if this...
