Lake Murray Trail Head — Attraction in La Mesa

This place is perfectly convenient and local in San Diego. There is so much to do here. You can bike, walk, run, or bird watch the trail. Some people go back and forth consecutively. I felt like I found a hidden gem when I noticed I was surrounded by so many locals. Runners. Bikers. Folks walking their dogs. Fishers. Kiddos. It was such a pleasant atmosphere.

There is so much to do...you can run, walk, bike or roller blade around the lake, there are tons of shady areas for a picnic or to read a book, you can feed the ducks, geese, swans & other birds, you can fish, you can take a paddle boat or one of the other boats out on the water for a reasonable price.
