I spent over 100$ a week in this store for the last 3 weeks have been shopping in their stores for 20 plus years. I asked the staff which chapstick would u recommend and she pointed out the 1,99 ones by the register. So I bought one of every flavor. 3 days later I opened the first one and was mango flavor, smelled that plastic smell when a lipstick or chapstick is old. Went back told her what happened I brought one w me to show her. Was not w in their time limit to return or exchange so I said no problem, told her just throw that away, ok I learned a lesson never but cheap stuff. I do nails bought a uv gel in a rush(my bad) went to use it did not open realized it was pink not clear. Brought it back w receipt, asked for refund since I had gone to their brick store and got the correct one the day before I could get here to exchange I needed it them She said she could only exchange it. I said ok fine I'll need it anyway in a few weeks. Well at that visit I bought 2-5 second nail glue original not brush on. Opened one almost a week later and it's empty/dried up. Ok it happens. So I grab the next one guess what that one also dried up or empty. So I said oh they r good people I'll just go exchange them I'm a good customer not asking for cash back brought both manager was nasty, first thing he say is "oh there was a problem w u the other day w something else". There was no prob, i understood just got the one I needed I'm going to need it anyway. So I bring the glues and she is so nasty. The poor girl also working is new I felt bad for her. I have been sending people because the owner is a good guy and has always done right by his customers and employees. I will never go to forked river store and am considering not shopping at any if them, brick, wall pt pleasant, jacksonJ toms River or Stafford. It was not the point of the $. It was how she spoke right off the bat and accused me of being a problem last week. This has been the first time in 20+ yrs I have ever tried to exchange items. All happened w in 2 weeks so tells me business is not as customer conscience as they used to be. However, the sticker price on the item was $1.00 more than the price listed on their website (24.99 vs 23.99), so I mentioned this to the woman at the counter. After several minutes of discussion between the two women working there, and confirming the discrepancy, they refused to honor the price on their own website. Honestly, I was just so surprised. It is only $1.00. I, obviously, decided not to make the purchase. Terrible customer service. I will never shop there again. My hair looks amazing and healthy. She uses great products and shares a lot of knowledge. Her years of experience show. Best of all, she’s fun!
