St Vincent De Paul Society — Attraction in Laconia

Been there a few times and had pleasant experiences with staff and stuff. I have read some of the negative comments on line and I find they come probably unreasonable people and thats problem, not the store. Perhaps, you all should be more grateful for what you have and don’t expect others to do it all for you. And if you can put a comment on line, that must mean you can afford a computer, phone, or access to one or all of the above?! If you have suggestions on what you feel should be done better for the store speak to a manager. If you have great ideas for your town, speak with your selectmen. If you have nothing nice to say take it up with God then and don’t bash on these people who VOLUNTEER...

I went to make a donation on 5/18/21 and do a little shopping with my sister. I put my wallet down and foolishly forgot it. Someone found it, stole my money, and placed it in another location at the store. A woman found it and turned it in. Another woman who saw I was in a panic, gave me $. A woman who works there gave me $. Between the two of them, I got my money back. I shop at this store often and have always had an enjoyable time. Another horrible experience with a religious family oriented organisation that refuses to help a family. We need to wake up people, this is happening everywhere. These organisations take donations, money, vehicles 365 days out of the year and then when a family comes through and needs help you’re shuffled off to someone else. Get rid of the bitter, selfish old women running these organisations and get some people involved who care about...
