UPDATE: I want to give a heartfelt thank you to the owner of this shop for reaching out to me personally and acknowledging that there was an issue on the day of my visit. She went above and beyond not only to make sure she understood my concerns, but to also make sure it does not happen to anyone else. She personally invited me back to the shop, which I accepted, and I received top notch service throughout my visit.
I will not allow one bad experience to overshadow the passion the ownership has for their business and ensuring her success in the future. Integrity means a lot to me, and recognizing there was a problem made me feel heard and appreciated.
Thank you, again, for your insistence on making things right, I'll be back for more candles (and other things) for sure! -Heather
Worst experience I have ever had shopping. I don't care how cute things are or how bad I may want them, I will not tolerate being profiled while I am shopping. I think EVERY employee either gave me an ugly look or followed me around the store making sure I didn't take anything (that may not have been the intent, but let me tell you, that was the feeling I got).
I think the icing on the cake was the employee obviously fooling with the tumblers in the front of the store when I left (there was nothing to do, they were all set up perfectly). I was looking through candles and after I realized I was being profiled, put the candles back and decided to leave. A girl left maybe 15 seconds in front of me and she was politely told to have a nice day as she exited. As I walked out, I definitely did not receive the same warm exit, I was ignored, which was great-that told me everything I needed to know. She finally choked out a standard have a nice day as I was almost into the parking lot. I frankly didn't want to be spoken to after the way I was made to feel through my entire experience, only an observation to point out here.
I definitely feel had I been in my professional attire, I would have been treated very differently. Just because people don't fit the mold for what you think a customer should look like, judging people isn't a good look. Making customers feel uncomfortable isn't going to make them support your business. I had every intent of making a purchase had I not been made to feel the way I did today (the candles were amazing by the way). It may be a while, if ever, I set foot back in this...
Read moreMy daughter and I finally decided to visit this store since they relocated. Unfortunately we will not be returning. As soon as we walked in my daughter asked a worker about one of their oils, before my daughter could finish her question the worker pointed us to one selection of diffuser oils, until we later noticed THERE WERE SO MANY MORE. She only chose to show the selection in the front of the store. She could have given better customer service. They were not the friendliest, towards us at least. I even noticed one of the workers ask another mom and daughter if they needed help but did not ask us if we needed anything, and we were right across from them. I didn’t want to jump to conclusions but I noticed they kept looking at us strange, still never friendly, and we even noticed one of the workers standing as though she was hiding where we were unable to see her while we were shopping. We were really impressed with everything in the store, but that changed quickly. I will not spend my money at an establishment where I am treated this way. Based on our experience and these reviews, we are not the “type” of customers they are...
Read moreSadly I do believe my experience yesterday was my last. This used to be my go to store, but the way the staff treats customers is a complete turn off. Yesterday was not my first negative experience, but it was the last. I was looking for gifts for a party I am hosting in a week. The young lady at the front hounded me about wearing a mask...much like other businesses did A YEAR AGO!...I finally pulled one out of my purse. It was how she and the rest of the staff behaved after that was the nail in the coffin. I was clearly looking for something but all they could do was huddle and talk to others. I would turn a corner and they would shuffle away. I left and took my business a few doors down where I was treated with respect and customer service was executed with perfection. The staff at AZ could benefit from showing a little more grace and humility in their approach, and drop their judgemental behavior. The other business made a $125 sale over customer service! I am a store manager and my staff would never treat any customer the...
