We had read about the refurbishment of the city hall and were intrigued by it's history. We enjoyed the JFK exhibit which was remarkable simply because many of the photos had been taken by what I presume were amateurs since the photographer was unknown. The gallery highlighting women who had served in Lake Charles' homes was a great tribute to hardworking and faithful people. It's so easy in today's society to overlook the people who are support staff in whatever realm you work or reside Lastly our visit was memorable because the woman who greeted us was warm, friendly, and very professional. Wonderful way to spend a winter afternoon at no cost.

Historic City Hall was so much fun! More Fun than I expected!. A few team members from work went by on lunch to check out one of the interactive exhibits and O.M.G SO. MUCH FUN! Our curator-Mary Alice was fun, engaging and knowledgeable. I hope the City of Lake Charles continues to bring in unique exhibits that are fun, contemporary and engaging.

This cultural center is three floors, all with separate art galleries. The middle floor has the African American Heritage Gallery. All of it is very clean. It was free admission when I went, I am not sure if that is the case every day. I am glad I came. I would recommend for anyone in the area.

We absolutely loved this building as a Gallery. It still feels like a building of importance, and you get to go to all the small nooks and cranies. There was live symphony music for the Promanade event. The exhibits were whimsical and fun.
