I stopped by on my way to Lake Charles during my getaway in the week of Thanksgiving. It is on the roadside off I-10, nice building with the lake just in the back so you can walk along. Not many people inside at the time. Two ladies at reception were very friendly and welcoming. There are some really beautiful art pieces by local artists in the main lobby, a gift shop, free coffee, and as you would imagine, a ton of information on what to do in and around Lake Charles. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They pointed us to a splash pad and kids park just a mile down the road which is open to the public, because we were looking for a place to give our kids a break from the road trip....

We really enjoyed looking around in the neighborhood despite Broad Street being very busy and locals not being very forgiving of tourists trying to look at the beautiful old homes.
