Iām from Houston and was in Louisiana my husband found this Mexican place to have lunch. I was hesitant but still agreed to try it. The place smelled like fabulous but it was so strong like if trying to mask another smell. First red flag, the server didnāt kniw if they had Mexican Coke? Um does she not work there? Second red flag, I ordered the chiles rellenos and I ask if if comes with tortillas, she turned to another girl to ask if the plate came with tortillas. The other girl says the plate does not come with tortillas but also they donāt have chiles rellenos. EXCUSE ME!? Itās on your menu!!! So I proceed to order the safest item on the menu because how can you mess this up right? Why did I receive the quesadilla plate and at first look Iām already upset. They serve it with less then half of soon of guacamole, sour cream, lettuce and jalapeƱos for this Jude quesadilla! This is supposed to be a grilled quesadilla meaning itās supposed to be nice and toastyā¦.WRONG! Itās soggy and the inside looks like itās a nacho quesadilla! They used queso so of course it was soggy there was barely any fajita in it! It seemed I ordered a queso and grilled onion quesadilla instead of a fajita one. Idk if thatās how they cook Mexican food in Louisiana but I will never be back to this place! It ruined my day! This is not real Mexican food! Service sucked and Coke Zero didnāt taste like nothing! Trust a review when it is this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe price is too high and the food is not great. I tried this place twice within the same week. I thought the first experience might have just been the type of food I ordered but I went back and ordered something else and I don't know if they leave the meat in water before they put it on the tacos or what the reasoning is but the meat is very wet as though it had been sitting in water before they put it on my taco I tried it with the steak first time I went in and it was wet. The 2nd visit was chicken. It's not sauce wet...it's water wet. As though it had been sitting in a bucket of water before they put it on my taco. There is no seasoning on the the food. And because of so much water in the meat my corn tortilla was soggy. I've had a little worse not much, but I definitely had much better than this. For the price I could have had Grade A steak. I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. Unfortunately I was quite...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst visit and it did not disappoint! The Raspberry Margaritas and the queso was great. I had a dish with shrimp wrapped in bacon served in a cast iron skillet with grilled onions, soft taco shells, avocado salad and a sauce that was phenomenal. My husband ordered 1 chicken & 1 beef burrito, he said it was the best he had, grilled veggies were great. There was plenty leftovers, no skimping on the food. The atmosphere was relaxing and so enjoyable, the music was just perfect, not so loud you couldn't hold a conversation. The prices were reasonable. The service, I think our waitress was Iveth S, she was the best!! The owner or manger checked on us, it was a very personable experience. If you haven't visited, you should. We found our gem of a Mexican restaurant and we can't wait to bring our out if town guest. Thanks for a delicious meal, wonderful service and a super...
