I purchased a car from Navarre Honda and was offered Katskinz Leather seats by my salesman due to me not really like having that leather/cloth split. Before agreeing and PAYING for this add on I wanted to make sure that the door panels, which were cloth also, would be included in my installation of the leather. When I picked up my car I immediately noticed that the door panels were still cloth and the seats were not the color I requested and PAID FOR. I called another place in my hometown that also installs Katskinz just to verify some information and was told yes the door panels should have been included and that I needed to contact the place where they were installed and ask where is the remaining pieces to my kit. I contacted the dealership who then contacted Protect and was literally told “the guy who installed the seats didn’t know how to install the door panels so he just didn’t install them”……me nor my dealership was informed about it until ,I, myself called and tried to verify what was going on. So I’m assuming they were just going to discard the extra leather pieces that I PAID for being that they only told us about them because I called another place and asked. After that we asked about the leather not being the color scheme we ordered and Protect tried to claim that we did not order that color but the guy at the dealership had it written down and had it verified that he did in fact request the color that was not installed. It’s was only after playing a recorded conversation back that they were able to verify the dealership did in fact order the correct color! I now have to get my salesman to to drive the extra leather pieces to my hometown and get another retailer to install my door panels. Luckily my dealership is paying for that because otherwise I would have to pay another place to install what ProTech couldn't install and also just didn’t take out the time to let us know that it couldn’t be done, which I would've had so much more respect for. I’ll NEVER recommend business here and I hope my dealership finds another place to rely on.
EDIT: When ProTech was called, I was present for the conversation. No one recommended coming in as the only way to select custom colors. If that and the issue with you not being able to install door panels is another issue, that was needed to be told to the customer at some point in the transaction. For example when it was dropped off or when it was picked up or even when it was scheduled. As someone who works in the service industry there are some things we always try to disclose due to the fact that not everyone is educated on certain things. So just trying to clarify, me as the customer should have just know that I needed to ask for the remainder of the kit and that I needed to go in to select my color? Never had a service like this done before, but I’m guessing I still should have known correct? It’s taken care of, just wanted to share...
Read moreI've done business with ProTech Audio since 1987. That ends now. I brought my 2025 truck to them to have them remove the badging (Sierra, Evolution). Cost was minimal, only $200 before taxes...sounds like a good deal, right? WRONG! Everywhere they removed a badge, deep scratches. The "manager" is who pulled the badges off and mentioned the scratches and directed me to their detail guy to fix them. Detail guy told me they can't be fixed by him as they are way too deep. Went back and the "manager" told me the badges were quote "embedded in the paint" LOL. He then directed me to a local paint shop they use and when the paint guy spoke with him, he said "ProTech ain't paying for nothing". I went back to the store and asked to speak with owner Mark, whom I have known since the 90's and Mark REFUSED to come outside and speak with me. His "manager" hilariously tried to intimidate me by coming out and demanding we talk outside and tried to be aggressive with me. I guess because he knows I am disabled veteran that I would be intimidated, but it gave me a good laugh as I left. Anyway, my relationship as a customer and really an ambassador of ProTech as I have directed people there for years, is OVER. Over because Mark, the owner, refused to be bothered to come out and speak with a long-time customer and ProTech would not even take ownership for the mistake they made. Mistakes happen, own them...My mistake was trusting ProTech with...

Purchased a car audio system amongst other things. I asked for the hardest hitting 2 speakers they had with the amp to match. I ended up with an undersized amp and 2 of the worst sounding speakers they had, which of course did not hit hard at all. Less than 24 hours later I requested refund/exchange for just the speaker box with the two speakers in it. I was told that because it was an install there are no returns. The speaker box and speakers were all preassembled from the factory. So basically they took 60 seconds to set a box in the back of my truck and called it and install, and also the reason why I couldn't get an exchange or refund. I even offered to pay the restocking fee if that was possible and was rejected. I've been to pawn shops that sell used tools and equipment that came with some sort of warranty or return policy. I never waste my time with reviews but felt the general public needed a heads up on this one. If you do decide to shop here, good...
