Super 8 by Wyndham Lake Charles/Sulphur — Hotel in Lake Charles

I checked into this hotel on Christmas Eve 2024 myself and 5 of my children. First off, the sheets on one of the beds was severely stained. My check out was on Christmas Day. The location did not honor their 3pm check out option. So this placed me and my children in a bind because we had a blow out on the interstate and was awaiting our rescue. Which took 5 hours from their location. This was due to surroundings tire shops not having the tire available and also it was Christmas. Once I was notice that they weren’t allowing 3pm check outs. I requested to just sit outside in their canopy area and just wait. I was advised that it was okay. After a couple hours the owners kept coming to the canopy area looking as us as if they were expecting us to be unruly or destructive. After the 3rd time they sent the girl from the front desk out to stay that we had til 3 o’clock or we would have to leave. We weren’t bothering anyone making any noise or anything. My rescue would arrive at 4:10. I think for the amount of money I spent to stay at this facility they would allow my family to just wait on a ride on their premises. At 2:55 me and my children left the facility and went outside and waited on a bench across the street from the hotel with all our luggage because we don’t know anyone in Lake Charles . This was so embarrassing and not very hospitable. I think this family is in the wrong business because they clearly don’t know what it means to show hospitality. I’ll be sure to tell all my colleagues, friends and family never to patronize this hotel. How could you do a single mother and kids like this on CHRISTMAS. Says a lot about how you feel about...

LAST RESORT HOTEL!! I was in town last minute due to a death in the family. I had no other choice but to afford this hotel. I wouldn’t stay here again for ANY reason. The “manager” parks his massive truck right infront of the front door at all times. So pulling up close to unload is not always available. The lobby had a strong air freshener smell that was obviously covering up another smell. The hallway carpets are horribly stained. The hotel room smelled musty. There was a roach motel in the room, and I saw at least one roach while I was there. |The sheets on the bed had some sort of brown stain all over it. Can’t believe they even put it on the bed!! There was no soap for the shower. I guess we are expected to use shampoo or the bar of hand soap by the sink. There was no teas offered with the coffee in the room (as the ad for the room states). There is also no pool, which is stated the hotel does have. The “free breakfast” was coffee, juice, and plastic packaged waffles/ muffins. I wouldn’t feed that to myself or my child. The employees were short and seemed like I bothered them by being there. What a waste. I knew not to expect much from a $60 room. At least the bed was comfortable. That is the ONE...

Yes, I am reposting bc I know for sure I placed my review along with pics and I don't know where it went, pictures and all..hmmm let's see what all i remember from last week. THE ONLINE ADVERTISEMENT IS FALSE THERE IS NO POOL, NO ĞYM,NO CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST. What is offered is everything packaged muffins, bean/ cheese burritos, cheese Danish juice and COFFEE. NO ELEVATOR!!!! Upon arrival we noticed about 4 or 5 elderly women struggle with the one baggage cart on the premises. So my family and I helped them to the 2nd for with their luggage bc they were under the impression there would be an elevator also. We killed 3 roaches in our room, the carpet was atrocious, we had no ironing board and one of our bedside lamps was completely missing a bulb. And I had no phone in my room. The bathrooms were nice. And the water was hot! I'm sure there was more to mention but I can't remember it all now. Oh the young lady at the front was nice. And I heard the management will enter your room even if you place the DO NOT DISTURB SIGN ON...
