We're here visiting family and decided to walk down to the lake for a swim. The little water feature/splash pad is nice, though pretty minimalist in design. A little dump bucket feature would be a huge improvement, in my opinion. The playground isn't large, but it's inclusive (built with all bodies in mind) and that's always a huge plus to me; all kids of all abilities deserve to have a place to play. There's a small beach access spot right next to the little park, but after all the storms lately it's pretty trashed with driftwood. Not anybody's fault, really, though it does lower the appeal. The farmer's market is in the pavilion right next to the water feature, a very pleasant surprise to us.

After nearly 20 years of visiting Lake City, I've never seen such a variety of family-friendly events.
