Heidi’s Huggamug Cafe — Restaurant in Lake City

What a fantastic find!! Wonderful food, a beautiful view, and impeccable service!! I will frequent here when I'm town! A+! Thank you Michelle for the great service! Update, I've been here in the area for business the last week and have founds this lovely place on Google. I am so happy I did! Each time I came in the service was amazing, the food was perfect, the drinks are delicious, and the views are spectacular! I met the owner, Heidi ( and her very nice husband), and she is absolutely wonderful! Upbeat, excited, and very pleasant. I enjoyed her ability not only to bake all the wonderful goods she sells, but she makes a fantastic effort to make rounds and talk to each customer! The remembers everybody's name, and always is smiling! This is what is it all about!! If and when I am in town, I will only eat here for bfast, you know what's going on Heidi! Cute little Cafe / Coffee shop. Has 8-10 tables inside for eating, with a nice outdoor patio with some shade. Ordered the Chipolte Chicken melt, and a blueberry scone to go, with a cup of coffee. You order at the counter a d they give you a table stand number for your food. It was full and busy on a Saturday around noon. Coffee was very good, sandwich was delicious!!! Came with a bag of chips and a pickle spear. The scone was ok. Had more of a muffin texture. But I'm picky on my scones. Took the melt to go and went to a park on Lake Pepin. Cappuccino was bitter, probably should’ve gotten a latte but I ordered waffles for my breakfast and didn’t want too much sweet. I ended up not eating my waffles, because they didn’t have maple syrup. Waffles were served with Smuckers corn syrup/high fructose corn syrup blend, which I tried but did not care for. I was very surprised at a small little cafe in Minnesota there would be no maple syrup to go with what I think would’ve been a very tasty waffle. My husband ate some of my waffle with the corn syrup, and I had some hashbrowns which were very good and a couple bites of omelette which were okay.
