Unfortunately I had a really poor customer service experience today? I entertain my large family quite often and purchase quite a lot of food from The Tula market. But today I was treated differently. I stood in line we do numbers I even offered my number to a woman who was in front of me I was one of the last people in line there were five people working behind the window and when the last Hispanic woman was helped in front of me they decided to all start cleaning up and no one asked me if I needed help it's not the first time it's happened to someone in my family who they think is white, it's sad that racism comes in many forms. After standing there for several minutes I gave up crumpled up my number in a ball and walked over to my husband in the produce department who's half Hispanic and said you might have better luck at the window then I did. From now on I'll be purchasing my food at Valentinas market in Raymond way. I'm always treated really nice there doesn't matter what race I am. This is sad. My has been informed me that the owner are mixed family just like mine I wonder if they know that this is going on? I'm sure they wouldn't be OK with it. I'm posting this in the hope that people were treated show there in a godly manner love your neighbor like yourself. I always order large containers of freshly made tortilla chips I will miss that. Being in the retail business for many years I always treated everyone fairly, I would expect that I should be treated the same. Read moreThis market has gone down hill over the years. People STOP spending your hard earned money here!!! The prices are a rip off price gouging at its finest. $18 for a burrito ! The place is very unsanitary!! They literally have flies hovering over the food, some of the cooked meals are uncovered, they use plastic chopping boards that look so worn out most likely releasing plastic particles into food with every use, they reuse the same chopping board for pork, chicken, or whatever they are prepping which also is cross contamination, which may cause multiple health issues. All this is happening literally in the front. Imagine how dirty the back is. Sunday August 31st at around 8:00 pm I went there to buy food worth almost $30.00 and after I paid I went and grabbed a plastic cup when a lady told me to return it because they can’t give cups to clients; I proceeded to tell her that I had already put my dirty fingers on the open mouth of the cup and she told me she can’t give me the cup, so I asked “ Is dirty now because I touched it, are you going to use it or put it in the trash?” And she took it and trashed it. LOL! It was just a cup, this thing called CUSTOMER SERVICE is important and you need to treat your customers well starting with saying hello and being kind to the people that are helping your business succeed.
