This rating is aimed not only towards the location, but the entire company itself.
As for the location, the employees I have worked with were pretty rude and seemed like they hated their job. I stopped in to return my equipment but noticed the door was locked. I saw several customers in there being helped so I thought maybe their door was locked by mistake. I knocked and no one even batted an eye. I stood there for a few seconds thinking they were probably just busy with the customers. I knocked again and one lady rudely pointed at her watch. It wasn't until i noticed on the door that it says they're closed from 1 - 2. My question is, WHY? Why would you make it such an inconvenience to close for an hour? I have never heard of an establishment close for an hour then reopen back up. Change your operation times, there's no legitimate reason for that absurd time.
When it comes down to the company entirely, they are probably the most unreliable, crooked internet providers around. The only thing they have going for them is their no contract policy. Sure they clarify that basic internet will increase in price after a year when not bundled, but they explain so in such small print that they mislead customers by stamping their $44.97 in big letters. If you want to be an honorable ISP, make that price locked in for life. Don't con people into an affordable basic internet service then Jack the price up $30 after a year. Plus every year you have unbundled internet, they increase the price to con you into cable as well. Some people just want internet. Another thing that really irritates me is that when I switched my internet to ATT, I shut off autopay to my Spectrum service until I got time to cancel. Thinking that they would just interrupt my internet service, I waited until the 5th (same day as my billing cycle) to cancel Spectrum. Well even after all of that they still charged me for the month of December even though I was not going to use their service anymore after the 5th. Did they not see that my modem has been disconnect for several days and I cancelled my service? Shouldn't I not be charged for a month of internet Im not even using anymore?. So much for no cancellation fees. I admit I should've cancelled the same day I had my ATT installed. So that is a mistake on my part. My advice is if you're cancelling your Spectrum service, be sure to make it final before your next billing date even if you don't have...
Read moreIf i could give this place a zero rating, I would. The amount of disrespect the employees had for my family and I was unacceptable. We had came in with a promo regarding 1 free line up to a year. Well, turns out you need to be approved for that promo, but they send it to you in regards anyways. I asked why I wasn’t approved, and they provided a 1-800 number for me to call. I sat there for an hour on the phone with customer service just to find out I need to build and establish credit with spectrum themselves in order to qualify for the free phone itself. While I stepped away to call the customer service phone number. The women we were working with decided to explain our situation to another coworker of hers, loud enough for everyone to hear and frankly, quite rudely. The customer service in that store alone was the absolute worst I have ever experienced and seems to be ran by young adults/children! There was no need for her to RUDELY explain the situation we were having and loudly say “THATS WHAT I TOLD THEM!” Spectrum store, BE aware of your surroundings, and manage your customer service better. This was my FIRST and LAST time using spectrum weather it is phone service or wifi. This environments was SO unprofessional and I am highly dissatisfied. I do not recommend the Lake Geneva location for anyone who is looking to partner...
Read moreThey only get a star because I had to. I called last week as a new customer to have internet installed at my apartment. I’m a college student who uses a laptop everyday so I am in need of reliable access. Spoke with the first guy and he barely understood anything I said and tried everything in his power to upsell. I wasn’t doing it, just internet. Finally spoke with a supervisor to set up the initial installation. Side note: You’ll end up paying about $110 for the first month (service, modem if you don’t have one, and another charge of some sort) none of that information was on the website at all! So speaking to her, she gave me a day and time, I told her that I would be in class until about 3:45 and asked if the time could be pushed back. She said between 6-7pm. That worked perfectly. Nope. The guy still comes while I’m in class. I called back 3 different times after I was told that he would come back. It is now 7:52 no one has shown up and no one ever called back. Guess I won’t be getting...
