Today, I placed a curbside order at this Subway to help accommodate my schedule. The order was set for 11:30 am. After waiting for 15 minutes, I started to worry there might have been a system glitch, or perhaps I was at the wrong Subway (it happens). I decided to go inside, and I could see the only staff member was clearly overworked. She confirmed my order and mentioned that she was "obviously busy and just getting to it now." I understood — I work in customer service too, and things happen.
However, she continued by saying I should have come inside, as curbside orders make things difficult for her. She explained that she couldn’t stop taking orders because the machine kept beeping at her. She added that she was doing her best and even snapped at me, saying I should get my own drink to save time, as it would take her longer to do it.
I hadn't expressed any frustration or anger, but her ongoing comments made me feel like I was the problem. At one point, the gas station employee offered to help, but she snapped at him, saying it was an online order, so he couldn't assist. I get that she was probably having a bad day, but pushing that attitude onto customers isn't acceptable. If you can't handle the pressure of customer service, perhaps it's time to reconsider working in...
Read moreToday I came in around 10am to grab a sandwich to eat at work after going to the gym. While the lady was building my sandwich I apparently touched my stomach (large from having 2 kids in 20 months- but not currently pregnant) the sandwich maker then proceeds to say “pregnant right?!”. I’m definitely not so this was extremely hurtful. When I WAS pregnant 4 years ago with my 1st I frequented because I worked nearby. This was the first time in the last 4 years I have been to this establishment, and from todays conversation I will choose another subway instead. I’m so upset and disappointed by the lack of a filter from this employee, and even more embarrassed that her attempt to correct the situation was to offer me a cookie. I honestly should have asked for...
Read moreI was an employee there and let me tell you the boss SUCKS at his job and he pushes around his employees physically. He’s done it to me and my co-workers. My uncle was there and witnessed it happening because it just so happens he was getting a order. He also talks bad about us in front of customers. He didn’t give me or any of his employees proper training he expects us to know what to do. He fired me because I supposedly “gave attitude” when I never have. I wasn’t going to say something but I had to. But in the end i’m glad I got a new job a day after being fired because my new boss is actually taking the time to train me and is way way way nicer. Thanks John for firing me and getting me to a new...
