This is a really fun place for kids but you need to be aware of a couple things before you go. It is not well shades and the slides can get hot, so make sure your kids have appropriate clothing so their legs don't get burned. The flooring is tiny stones so tennis shoes are way more comfortable than flip flops or sandals.
There is a small covered pavilion with tables. Be aware if you have small kids, that there are a couple danger spots, like holes your kid can jump down. Fine for big kids but not toddlers...so if you have a toddler, you might want to walk around with them and get familiar with the equipment if it's your first time. In some playgrounds you can easily see danger spots and somewhat easily access your kid to protect them. It's a bit different here, so I had a hard time at first because I would have to go the long way around to get to my kid when in other parks I could've ducked under equipment more easily.
Not trying to deter anyone from going, we love this park a lot, but I thought this info might help someone be prepared.
There is also a small sand pit area that is fun if you wanted to bring sand toys. Often there are toys already...
Read moreThis park is great as long as you get there early in the day. We try to get there before 10 AM because the slides get very hot considering they are purely metal and exposed to the sun with no shade. There are places to eat covered for the sun and there are swings and plenty of activities for the children. It is hard to keep track of your child in this park, so I try to make sure that I put my child in a particularly bright and unique color outfit that I can make sure that I keep an ion her. I also make sure that I’m wearing running shoes when I get here because the gravel and sand make it difficult to follow my child through the park. There is no way you can stand for one side of the park and see your child on the other, so you need to be sure that you’re able...
Read moreWonderful playground. Ignore the negative reviews from the parents who raise there children with tablets and no supervision. Obviously a playground of this caliber requires supervision of kids 6 and younger. Who goes to a playground with requirements like shade and rates negatively when there isn't " sufficient shade"? There is plenty of shady spots and gazebos to take a break from the summer sun. Plan ahead. Don't be dumb. And for heaven sakes be a parent. These playgrounds are a dying breed and getting the opportunity to play on them is one to cherish. Enjoy...
