However, I had tried to specify that I wanted my Kung Pao 'hot spicy' using the BeyondMenu interface, expecting that the baseline dish was going to be pretty mild.. which it should not be, it is marked with the 'spicy chili' marker on the menu.

However, upon digging in, there was no discernable heat at all, just sweet-savory. Disappointing! I was hoping for something more "Mala"

I really don't see this as a problem with Hunan Garden... I cannot remember the last time I encountered spicy food from a Chinese takeout joint. I'm not sure if this was a BeyondMenu-shop issue, or my extra spec getting passed over. I might call to make my heat preferences more explicit next time... Adding hotsauce just is not the same as having chili peppers cooked...

I love this place for their food. And i gave a great review a few months back but after today I have to take it back. The person upfront was very rude and had a really sour tone of voice when talking to them. I ordered online, that went fine but a friend wanted to order food when we got there cus he forgot something, and i wanted to pay for both my order and his and she acted annoyed by this. Not only that, but when my friend wanted to buy a drink the same woman, (she had a short/pixie hair) was very rude to him and I ended up just telling him we'll go elsewhere. I get bad days, and I get frustration on busy days, but it was very unprofessional and disappointing to be treated so poorly when I once regarded this place as kind and...
