Everything about our experience working with Mineralogy was a dream come true!

My fiancé and I were looking for a jeweler to repurpose some family pieces into a custom engagement ring, and found Mineralogy's beautiful custom work. After looking into their studio more, their values and ethical practices, we knew we definitely wanted to work with Theresa and her team.

Their custom process is so clear and well defined-- even though we are from out-of-state, Theresa was so great with communication leading up to our consultation-- reviewing inspiration, clarifying any questions, and helping us through shipment of our heirloom pieces.

We traveled to Chicago for our consultation, and were greeted with the most stunning array of gemstones to choose from that the team had curated specifically for us. We absolutely loved the interactive custom process and being so intimately involved in each design decision. Theresa was so helpful in guiding the consult-- making sure all of our heirloom stones were in a placement that would be safe and secure in the setting and also balanced the different center stones we were considering. The team also did a wonderful job helping us remain within our set budget during our consult, and never pushing to upsell us on features or stones which we really appreciated.

One part of this process we were unsure of was how much of our original heirlooms would survive-- and we were stunned by the amount of care shown by Theresa and her team to carefully remove stones and return the original settings to us in near perfect condition.

We just received our custom ring last week and the end result was more than we ever dreamed of! It feels like us in every way and is such a meaningful way to include our family history as well. We are so grateful to the Mineralogy team for helping us to create a very special heirloom of our own, and looking forward to working with them again...

Theresa is a true queen. First and foremost, she is wonderfully inclusive, actively works for social justice and is a bad@ss woman to boot. She takes prideful care in her work, is incredibly collaborative and an artistic genius. She helped my boyfriend and I design my engagement ring and was hugely helpful in designing/selecting both of our wedding rings as well. Beyond just rings, she helped me create a custom bracelet using an existing piece for my mom and is an absolute delight to work with in more ways than one. If you want something unique, Mineralogy is your spot. Theresa has this amazing ability to "get" you, and somehow magically captures your essence in the beautiful jewelry she produces for you. Her shop also features amazing items from other local, small businesses and she has a DANG cute dog. I mean, could a shop get ANY better??? I truly don't think so. My fiancee took me to Mineralogy for engagement ring shopping because she loved the unique style of their jewelry. When i walked in and looked around I could see why. All of their rings are handmade and like nothing I've seen before. The stones they use aren't heat treated, they're conflict-free and very high quality. I got my fiancee's ring made here and couldn't be happier with the results. It is gorgeous and she absolutely loves it. Working with Theresa was awesome. She's very easy to talk to and it was so cool having the personal experience of working with the person that actually makes the jewelry.
