This is one of those parks where you can easily lose track of time. It’s one of the best green spaces in the city, offering a little bit of everything—great playgrounds, a walking trail, a gazebo, and indoor facilities with plenty of variety when open. In the summer, the water feature is a huge plus, though the wide-open spaces mean shade is limited, so sunscreen is a must. What really sets this park apart is how much it fosters community. The gazebo often hosts free concerts, the baseball and softball fields are well-used, and the big grassy areas are perfect for kids or dogs to run around. There’s also a gated playground with interactive water features, a lovely garden area filled with native plants, and even food stands serving crepes and hot dogs. Add in the tennis courts, fieldhouse with an indoor pool, summer camps, rentable rooms, and consistently polite staff, and it’s easy to see why this is a favorite park in the city.

Rating on the fitness center because the site says it's closed from 1pm-2pm daily for cleaning when it's VERY VERY CLEAR that no one cleans except for the patrons who wipe off their sweat. I'm talking dust balls EVERYWHERE. The floor is disgusting and there isn't a single clean spot to sit to do any exercises because of it. This place is $5 MORE expensive than Planet Fitness with less offerings and worse hours. The only perk is that it's walking distance.

Be careful of the Croatian bocce players they were saying lascivious comments to anyone who got in the way of their bocce game. I sat near them to garner their wisdom and turns out they are reverse knowledgeable. They have an implied ownership of the southwest corner of the park, so just avoid it. Otherwise *****

This is probably my favorite park in the entire city, they really know how to create a community. The beautiful gazebo has free concerts, there are multiple baseball/softball fields to use, large grassy fields for your dogs or children to run in, a fun and interactive playground that has water features with a gate surrounding it so you can keep an eye on those coming in and out, a wonderful garden/woodland area with native plants, a crepe stand and hot dog stand that are both great, tennis courts, and a fieldhouse that has a large indoor pool, summer camps for children, a gym, clubhouse rooms you can rent for events, and very polite staff. The surrounding area is great too with a large variety of restaurants to try, a cute movie theater only a block or so away, a brown line train stop nearby, overall great nightlife and my all time favorite library. It's a great community tied together by this incredible park. If you're visiting or want to take your friends to a little section of Chicago- this is a place...

My brother went to soccer at this park. We were really hoping that we wouldn’t have any issues at this park unlike the past ones we have tried, his coach was rude and would yell at my brother for things he did wrong but other kids did as well and he did not yell at them. He was always very disrespectful to my mother and would talk to her like somebody he despised. It was a very bad decision for us to try this park. We had high hopes based on things other people we know, but we were very disappointed. Over all, if you want your kids to have a good time and learn to love a wonderful sport, like soccer, do not come to this park in hopes for friendly, respectful, or...
